Gainey Vineyard, Santa Ynez CA

We had a enjoyable afternoon at the winery and appreciated all the information about the vineyard and the wines from Paul. It was near closing before we finished our flight and he encouraged us to take our time & experience the grounds. We highly recommend asking for him!

A beautiful winery with an amazing and friendly staff! We arrived a little late in the day and we weren’t able to do a tasting, but Ray saved the day and poured us a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc and said “ Welcome! Please feel free to walk around and enjoy the beauty”. And we did! It was so delightful and so kind! This is a gorgeous vineyard with fantastic wine! Not to be missed

If you are in the Solvang area, make sure to visit Gainey vineyards. It is a beautiful space and the wines are delightful. The 2021 Chardonnay and the 2021 Pinot Noir just explode with flavor, not to be missed. The staff, particularly Rhonda, Melissa and Paul are very knowledgeable. No matter how many times I have visited, there is always something new to learn about this lovely location and superb wines. The staff obviously is proud of Gainey and delights in sharing these wines. Don’t miss visiting.

Gainey vineyard was a great start to our winery vacation. Our server was knowledgeable and super friendly. The tasting was very enjoyable.

The wine is okay, but the tasting room is disappointing. You get stuck drinking mediocre wine in a dimly lit room blasting country music.

Although the service was good, nothing about the overall experience made me want to buy their wine or go back.

Our tasting room experience was good. Paul was very knowledgeable and was great at describing the wines without over complicating things. My favorite was the Pinot noir, but all wines tasted were palatable, complex and very well made. Interested to see how the winery grows their vintages. We will be back!

Paul is the best! Loved the tasting in the barrel room. A lovely respite from the summer heat.

Visited 8/22 and location is beautiful and wine very good. Went for a tasting and the only thing I was disappointed with is we were forced to sit inside. I understand the reason was because they didn’t have enough servers to work inside and outside or just only wanted to work the inside. At other vineyards you can come inside and pick up your own flights and sit outside if you prefer The grounds Are beautiful so I would wanted to have the option of sitting out there. The weather was gorgeous so there was no real reason why we could not have done it. We did walk the grounds on our own after tasting

Gainey is a MUST if you are visiting Solvang/Los Olivos/Santa Ynez. Their wines are always fantastic and they just keep getting better. Their facility is by far the most beautiful in the area to enjoy a wine tasting or a picnic lunch. They have a stunning tasting room, a grassy area out front overlooking the vineyard and a beautiful oak tree with seating amongst the vines that is the epitome of serenity. On top of the incredible wines and the beautiful setting to enjoy them in, let me mention the staff. You will not find a group of people more kind and lovely than the staff at Gainey. Everyone here goes above and beyond to make the experience 10/10. Meryl, the tasting manager, Melissa and Paul especially deserve a round of applause for going the extra mile. This will always be our first and last stop when visiting and a favorite by far. Check out the wine club as well. You will not be disappointed!
