Game Store GameQore reviews
19Awesome little game store with almost everything you can think of for table games. There is also a weekly D&D game on Tuesdays from 4pm to close.
It feels like they are only in business because they are the only store in Visalia.
I've been to a lot of game stores, but here they don't really put the 'Friendly' into Friendly Local Game Store. Every time we are in there, unless directly helping a customer, it always seems like all of the employees are just hanging out. Which is weird because they literally have boxes of miniatures sitting on the floor.
Their community also seems not that great. Have been told by multiple employees they have a great D&D game that anyone can join, but every time I've gone in the group has started 15 minutes before the time they say, ignored everyone who wasn't already in their group and doesn't feel like a game people can actually go in and join.
My girlfriend also has had the employees stare at her and watch her around the store and they make her uncomfortable. There have been time I have attended an event and she was in the front of the store and they have come up to her asking "do you know what system that is for" despite us having been in multiple times and having talked to them about the systems. Really just fitting the stereotype of gatekeeping and acting like women don't know about games.
In a vacuum, having a game store is better than not having a game store in town. But I'm much more likely to drive 30-45 minutes to Hanford or Fresno for a game store where I actually feel welcomed and a part of the community.
They have MOSTLY everything ranging from board games to retro video games like Gameboys, old Nintendo collections, and card games. They carried MTG mostly. Think a few Vanguards though! But for Yugioh and Digimon, there are decent quantity in stock. They DON'T carry singles, only packs and starter/structure boxes. The rooms are very limited - think it fits 10-12 people at most.
Very friendly and have a schedule put up to see what games are being played when. Also have a variety of figures and games
Helpful and friendly staff, with an excellent selection of games. Proud to call this place my FLGS.
Lot's of TCG, vintage games, and board games. They have a section in the back where you can play some of the games or card games. Great services given by the employees and very attentive to peoples needs.
Very nice staff. Nice store. Seamus has been awesome. Everybody I've met there has been very nice to me. Nice selection of thing. Plus they do have a gaming area to put all that cool stuff to use
Stopped in for miniature paint, was impressed with the selection and availability. GameQore has a friendly, helpful staff and incredible, diverse inventory for a variety of hobbies. Definitely recommend for my fellow tabletop gamers and hobbyists.
Such a great shop in DownTown Visalia. We love to come here for GameBoy games & fun & unique Christmas gifts!
The staff is amazing and helpful, the store is super clean and well stocked. I went in originally looking for a mini fig for my dungeons and dragons game and found that the store was crammed to the brim with new mini figs, all the dungeons and dragons books I could ever need and a huge supply of warlock dungeon tiles.
If your in the visalia area and need anything gaming related this is a must stop.
My friend fell through the floor of the place and the ceiling almost fell on another friend of mine. The place is rigged and the people running the tournaments set it up so their friends win. Would definitely not recommend your time or money spent there.
Literally the core of gamers. They have classic games for every classic system and cards for every card game. Kind staff and I’d come back again.
Great experience here! Know some regulars and the staff were wonderful each and every time!
I was in Visalia and checked out "GameQore"
The store has a nice set up showing off nice eye catching items in the windows. When you walk in you'll immediately notice that the store is split between table-top gaming & card gaming and retro classic video gaming. This review will focus on the video gaming.
1. There's a small assortment of selection of CIB (Complete in box) games ranging from various systems. There's a nice old school Nintendo display Kiosk that has loose NES/SNES games. The glass case has a few more titles though at this tie of the review not much was eye catching. (Old Sega Sports games mostly).
2. There's quite a bit of 3rd party controllers, cords, etc on the wall. Just a word of caution be cautious of these 3rd party controllers they're fine for occasional casual play but won't hold up for daily heavy play definitely avoid the Cirka Gamecube controllers those are trash in all honesty. Spend more on the OEM (original equipment manufacture) controllers if their available.
3. There's quite a large selection of loose discs for a variety of systems this is nice because of the fair price and for the amount of games available.
If you're in Visalia check out GameQore, the retro game section is growing and worth seeing. I'll definitely be back.
I stumbled upon this shop rather unexpectedly - and boy am I glad I did!
Since moving, I've been without my regular tabletop game supplier (I'm a D&D player & DM). That is, until today! On top of their wide selection of books/dice/minis/cards, excellent decor, and friendly & informative staff, they also sell classic video games and consoles. I'm talking NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Playstation (1). And since I'm a collector of old games, I guarantee this will be my one-stop shop for (old) video games and tabletop games.
I'm already planning on having my friends come stay with me just so we can shop here a while!
Great selection of various ttrpg and card games as well as supplementary supplies for them. Have helpful and friendly employees. Purchased a set of fun looking polyhedral dice.
It was a good Experience here once again I came out with some classic games it had Different sections of different video games and the people inside the store were very nice. I will be coming here now on
The employees are helpful and knowledgeable about their products, and if they can't find what you're looking for, they either direct you where you can, or order it for you.
Best game store in the area has everything you can think of game wise. Miniatures, board games, DnD Supplies, Card Games, and Video games to name a few things. Service is always great and honestly super affordable and supports all games as much as they can. Not to mention do nice things for the community if your thinking of going to make friends go by and i'm sure you'll meet a few new people.
