Collectibles Store GameStop reviews
12We have been long time customers for game stop. I can not remember the male employees name. We have been to the Plaza Bonita location numerous times. We bought our son a Nintendo switch console OLED model. Long story short very aggressive with up-selling and non stop offering things. We just wanted to be rang up. Not to mention there was line to the back of the store. There were at least 6 people behind us who wanted to be rang up as well. I will not be going to this location anymore.
First and last time shopping at this store. I went in for the Spiderman 2 launch last night and it was a disorganized mess. There was only 1 employee running the registers, Juan, and another employee who was pretty much useless as I was told he couldn’t help me since he was a brand new employee who was in the process of being trained. I don’t mind that he couldn’t help but for a game night launch WHY would you only have 1 actually trained employee running the registers? !? It completely slowed the process down 1000 %. Not to mention that JUAN (who took it upon himself to tell me that he has worked at GS for 10 years now) loves to nitpick and choose certain policies to enforce while ignoring others. All I wanted to do was fully pay for the game at 8 pm like I was told over the phone even without a preorder as well as do some trade ins and use my discounts/coupons. He tried telling me since I didn’t have a preorder to come back the following day when they opened but I challenged him on this since I called ahead to confirm that I could do it. He checked and said that they had extra copies so it was ok. Having to fight with an employee over store policies is a terrible way to handle business and is a huge deterrent for shopping there. My biggest gripe was how the actual release was handled. I was told to come back at 9 and that groups of 5 would be taken in at a time. Well, I came back around 8: 45 and saw there were people just hanging out near the entrance to the mall without a clear line or numbers or anything outlining an order. At 9 we were still waiting so everyone collectively just decided to walk in and we were met at the door to the store and told to file up while JUAN took his sweet time still ringing people up. I saw some people already leaving at 9 with copies of spiderman so it was very confusing what was going on. He was still using the registers to ring people up after 9 even though I was told that the registers closed and that it would be a fast and smooth process for picking up. Because JUAN was still ringing people up it took him 15 minutes to finally start letting us come up and grab our games. Beyond infuriating! For someone who has, supposedly, worked for this company for so long I would’ve expected much better faster service and understanding but nope. I regret this experience and I guess it just serves as a reminder why not to preorder or shop at gamestop anymore
I communed with the dead in the corner using nothing more than USB and a baja blast. Now my servants of the damned do my bidding while I shop in peace. Greg (not even sure he works here) said I have to leave, so accessing the portal to Ethereal Plains first was a smart move.
SALVETE LUCIFER!
Wouldn’t honor the printed price of $7. Rang up at $17. After not pushing the issue and informing them there was more in the bin they still left them. Even Walmart honors price differences.
This GameStop is one of the nicest. Everyone is helpful and thinks about what you need more than upselling.
I called about a rare edition on a game three other locations said this GameStop said this one has it a woman answers lies and says no I called again a male answers said it's in and he couldn't find it after searching for minutes then I go on eBay for listing and surprised the copy of the game is freshly listed if a woman answers with a horrible attitude don't mention any rare item to her
Had an issue with an order being returned and one of the workers, Eddy. Hey was really sympathetic to my situation and was clear to me what has happened with my order
I bought a toy anime figurine for my niece, and I wanted to get a new box for the toy she wanted. Teller said they have none in the back store. Now I am to understand that a plastic bag is standard to give a customer. The teller also told me that they have no plastic bags. What's the chance of not having a new toy box set and not having plastic bags for the customers. I paid over $40 for the toy and had to hand carry while I was shopping. Bad customer service. This happened on Saturday, June 3,2023.
Eddie is the man and goes well out of his way to please customers. I had a broken PS5 and he set me up with a new one and warranty for the price it would have cost to repair mine. He went above and beyond my expectations and spent as much time as needed to help me. In doing so, I received what I feel is beyond max return value for my broken PS5 and came out the door with a new one plus a warranty. Eddie will be a fine manager once that opportunity arises for him. Thanks again Eddie for all your help.
The store itself is ok but the service is really bad, the worker refused to help us, giving us wrong information about a game. We only found out it was a lie because people in another game stop gave us the correct information.
While the store was still open they turned me away even though they were still open. I just talked to the manager in the phone and they told me to come in to get the item I wanted just to have the doors shut on my face while they were still open so they could complete online orders even though they had a customer right in front of them. Lazy people with terrible people skills.
