Gap, Santa Monica CA

Walked into Gap at the corner of 20th and Wilshire. Waited behind 2 customers for my turn to which the Gap employee said next! I walked up and told her I came for a pick up. She snaps “ I need your id or email address”. I promptly show her my driver’s license to which she starts looking on a hand held register. She says “ your name is not on here is it under some other name”? I said no, and read the text to her as she starts walking away. I gave the order # and the message from my wife that said my name would be given for pick up. She says” your name is not here and I’m not supposed to give you anything “ but let me look for the order. Given her tone of voice, her demanding attitude and her reluctance to help me on front of about 4 other women, I started to get a little angry. Finally, she comes from the back with the item in a bag, to which she says “ your name is on the label”. Right about now you would expect to hear some sort of apology but no, she shouts out “next”? I felt like giving her a piece of my mind but I just walked out! I’m just a husband trying to run an errand for my wife and did not expect to be treated like a “lying homeless man” that wondered into a Gap store trying to get something for free! After this experience I will forbid my wife from ever patronizing this brand again!

We stopped here for baby clothes and were happy they had 50% off. Found some adorable pants, shirts, and onesies for my baby. Great deal!
All employees are wearing masks. The girl at the cash register cleaned and sanitized the surface after each customer. Enter from the back.
The store is big and wide and has tons of apparel for kids and adults.
The employees here are friendly and attentive. Calm shopping environment. Remember your face mask!

One of the last few in Santa Monica. Diminishing mens section leaves little to no selection.
