Garden Coffee reviews
16 Stopped by unexpectedly on a rainy for a caffeine pitstop, will definitely be back.
This location is quietly tucked away, with a cozy outdoor feel. I dig it.
Menu is simple and not too much, I like it.
Got a cold brew as it was still in the low 60's and it was spot on with some of the oat milk that was offered.
There wasn't much seating available on that rainy day but I will definitely be back as the barista was a friendly gal as well.
Had a chill time at this coffee spot. It’s super cozy and easy to feel at home. The coffee’s alright, but hey, you’ve gotta try the vegan Jalapeño and Cheese bagel – it’s a game changer! Tasty, not too spicy, and something different. Definitely coming back for the vibes and that bagel
Amazing location, lots of seating, coffee was perfect, and service was fantastic. Sat here for a few hours reading and whoever is in charge of the playlist has amazing music taste!
Found this cute little rustic gem through a tik toc reel and was immediately enticed to try this place out because they advertised coffee flights. It’s tucked away in the backstreets of old town. Once I got there to order my variety flight, I was told they are not currently promoting the flight and that it was a seasonal special only. What I did love was that you could pick out your own coffee mug to use for your drink, and the adorable setup for this outdoor cafe. The coffee was nice and strong. I got the mushroom coffee and I also tried the lavender honey coffee (something I didn’t personally enjoy) but I still did enjoy the good atmosphere. The prices are a little steep. I paid close to $20 for the 2 specialty coffees, but I would go again once their flights are available so I can see what drink I enjoy the most. The patio is dog friendly. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the disappointment of not offering the flights as advertised, and the high expense of the drinks.
I absolutely adore this place. This has become a repeat location for us to enjoy some coffee and hangout with some peace either for chatting or reading our books. The coffee is always delicious and they frequently have new options for customers to try. Their flights always have something delicious. Overall just a serene place to visit in the mornings. Hope everyone enjoys this spot as much as I do! Always ask how many shots are in the lattes, good to know the ratio and see if you want to add another ;)
This is my favorite coffee place in San Diego. Lots of fun drink options with vegan/gluten free options. It's a great space to create or read a book. There is a free library and thrift store next door. You won't regret stopping in!
Easy to miss this spot. Located behind another business lol. The atmosphere is of a garden with lots of garden theme items. Lots of seating. Bathroom as well. They have many vegan items and different drinks for any type of person. Only complaint is that it is a bit in the expensive side. I’d recommend as a treat every now and then.
Probably my favorite place to hangout study in SD.it’s so relaxing to be surrounded by plants outside and it’s a good environment for studying.the sound isn’t loud and tables are spaced adequately. I really want them to bring back the pea flower lemonade though!
The espresso drink was amazing. It had the perfect bitterness and extraction for my tastes. Very few cafes have made me so excited about their espresso drinks and this was one. The atmosphere is a plus.
My friend and I went for coffee. While she had cappuccino and I had their iced match with cinnamon (which was very tasty). It is a cute little place with great aesthetic and one can even work. The only thing is that I found it a little expensive specially for substitutes such a oat milk, it was $7-10 per drink.
Great nestled spot. My walking GPS had me turned around and so glad I didn't give up. Orange cruffin perfection!
Super nice place, good coffee. Super option to have a drink and read or hang out… there may be a lot of people but it's not noisy. 10/10
3/5 stars!
Overall great presentation but they did fall short on expectations.
Initial thoughts:
- Matcha came out a little too bitter for our taste
- Patio area was cramp
- Service was good overall just average
You did get to choose your cup for your matcha which was interesting. I don’t think I’ve had that option before.
Garden Coffee is a true find in Old Town. The attention to detail in the decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The partly covered patio adds to the charm, offering a comfortable setting to enjoy your coffee. While the coffee isn't exceptional, it's definitely tasty enough, and the option to choose your own mug adds a personal touch. Garden Coffee also offers wheelchair accessibility and a nice selection of vegan options. It's a wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy a delightful ambiance. Surely worth giving it a try.
Very cute location. Seats everywhere. Got to pick out mug to use! Had a mocha and an Americano. Both very yummy.
I tried the ice latte, it was delicious, and the gluten-free cookies were very tasty
The place is very beautiful
