Garden Fresh, Mountain View CA

Ugh the owner is so, so sweet. I came in before closing and she gave me extra rice to share with my friend. Mongolian fake chicken was amazing and was so juicy! Nice and fast too.

In early December 2022, I told the restaurant owner that I would come back to eat at her restaurant. Today is Saturday, Mar. 11th, 2023 and per her hours on the restaurants window; on her menu; and online she is supposed to close at 2: 30 p.m. For break. There are no public restrooms (only for paying customers).

I arrived around 1: 58 p.m. And was going to place an order, but needed to use the restroom. Someone was in the restroom and I wanted to wait to after using the restroom to place my order.

The restaurant owner kept trying to prompt me to order because the kitchen was closing. I stated to her that I thought I had until 2: 30 p.m. And that 2: 30 p.m. Was posted on her window and menu. Then she stated they closed at 2: 00 p.m. Not only was I misinformed, but, I would have left if she stated that when I arrived at 1: 58 p.m.

I get life happens. She stated that she was robbed twice in the past.my suggestion to the owner.change the closing hours for break to 2: 00 p.m. Having 2: 30 p.m. Still posted is misleading.

I won't eat here. I kept my wor and came back, and I give everyone one shot on how they want our interaction to go. And I also love seeing individuals right their wrongs.

You won't see me again.but, you can fix this by updating your hours and not trying to rush off your customers. God bless you.

Absolutely wonderful place to dine in or take out. The owner is such a sweetheart, and she is always happy to offer recommendations - there's plenty to love on their menu. Im always surprised at how much food they fit into those little white cartons

Garden Fresh is a gem for anyone seeking out vegan cuisine in the south bay/peninsula!

The taste was average. My concern was the portion. For the lunch special take-out costing me 13 dollars, I got 80% brown rice and 20% veggies. It was a disappointment to open the box and see it overflowing with rice and some veggies in corner. Do not recommend for take-out atleast.

The food was very tasty and met the needs of vegans in the group. The server was very helpful. The restaurant was cramped and noisy when we were there.

Absolutely lovely location that kept me full all years of undergrad. Very kind staff as well!

Wrongly advertised as vegan restaurant. It’s not a vegan restaurant. Like any other non-vegetarian restaurants they have vegan options. We drove there assuming they were vegetarian restaurant, only to find they served non vegetarian food too. If you are a pure vegetarian and wouldn’t prefer a restaurant which serves non-vegetarian food, this place is not for you.

Small hole in the wall vibes kind of place with nice service and delicious food. Flavors are complex and balanced; very satisfying. My fave is their take on roast duck.

Garden Fresh is amazing! All their food is vegan and it is terrific. We got takeout and they are so friendly. We got the Veggie Duck, General's Veggie Chicken, Szechuan Eggplant, and Veggie Ham Bundles. The sauces were all very yummy, and you'd never guess that it was all vegan. The eggplant was a particular hit!

I can't recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and enjoy your next takeout Chinese from Garden Fresh!

This is by far one of the best restaurants around. Not only do I come for the amazing food, but the owner is the sweetest woman. She brings a smile to my face every time I come in. Definitely recommend! 100 out of 100

Great Vegan place with very good choice of food. More than the food I go there for the owners who are very friendly and gracious.
My favorites are kung-pao chicken and Mongolian chicken.

We’re Chinese and we really really like it! We ordered three dishes and finished all of them (two hungry guys). Would def visit again in the future!

Amazing food! We ate veggie buns, black pepper fried chicken chowmein and crispy sesame chicken. Everything was really good!

So delicious. I got the veggie duck, vegi wontons and orange veggie chicken. Highly recommend the first two. I also got to try the chocolate cake. The owner is extremely friendly, everything was delicious and I recommend this restaurant to anybody! (I am not vegan)

Food was very good and fresh prepared. The shop itself had it best times 20 years ago, so it seems. The stuff is nice and helpful.

I was dining at Garden Fresh since 1995, left the bay area 5 years and came back for a visit, and hade dinner at this restaurant and as it was for all this years it is one of the best vegan places to eaet.

The lady who runs is just so lovely and sweet! Absolutely wholesome Please do visit this place and support them? And the food is just fabulous! ️ Their best dish is the veggie duck (I’m someone who grew up eating chicken, yet love this the most).

The texture of the chicken is not too - chicken like, but the texture of the duck is amazing! (Meat like)
