Garlands Hamburgers, Grover Beach CA

Very laid-back and welcoming burger place! The patio in the back was great for the family and the dog. Lady at the counter was kind and helpful, giving us suggestions. Our large order came very fast.

Highly recommend the Garland Basket, Fish and Chips, and the Mac and Cheese Bites. Burger was very juicy and fresh, although the patties were pretty salty. Fries are incredible. Onion rings and fish are good. IMO the mac is a must try, but know that it’s quite filling.

There is also a small and dark bathroom, with passable cleanliness.

It's one of my favorite burger joints to go to when in town. Since 1991, I have been going. Burgers are tasty, juicy, and fantastic buns.

This spot was recommended to us by a young lady at the CA Welcome Center in Pismo and it didn’t disappoint. It was perfect for kids, very friendly, outdoor & indoor seating, quick and easy parking. Definitely recommend! Thanks for taking care of our family so nicely!

Cute little joint! Food was delicious & service was good (friendly)! We tried 4 different burgers & chili fries. We look forward to going back on a nice night when we can sit out in their patio =)

Another disappointing dining experience in Grover Beach. Kobe burger was raw and dripping with thousand island dressing. Done with this place.

Really bad food poisoning! I’m a local lived here for year’s! Went to garlands many times! My mom, myself and my son (got it the worst! We were sick for one week! Never again! Haven’t eaten here since 2019

They have shakes, too! The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, and plenty to share.

Nice people have gone their for many years. Needs to be cleaned big time, paint and wiped down.

Where's the beef? This is my second visit to Garland's; my first visit was approximately 3 years ago. This time I tries a cheeseburger combination. The fries and onion rings were great but the burger patty was too thin and got lost in the bun. I guess you need to order at least a double sandwich. The wait was lo g as well. I guess if I return again, I will go back to the steak sandwich.

Amazing burger place and delicious food complemented the courteous staff. Everyone was observing COVID guidelines and I felt safe as a result.

Sorry, but this was my last visit at Garlands. Used to love it, when it was the "Old Garlands", 12 years ago. I know, COVID sucks, I have to wear a mask too.
So don't look into the kitchen. Every single ingredient is getting touched with bare hands. Little scratch on the neck, little scratch on the ear and right back in tomatoes.

A great place for a quick bite. Makes excellent hamburgers & the baskets are just amazing. Their onion rings & zucchini are wonderful. I discovered fried dill pickles here and those are amazing as well. You got to try them. Their shakes are to die for. You get so much food from this place with just one order. Two people could definitely share it and be full when you walk away.

Ordered Philly cheese steak. Meat was very dry and tough. Kids burgers to stale. Fries cold. Will not go back. Ordered fried zucchini which was horrid. Mushy and slimy.

This place used to be so good. I didn't taste the special sauce, and the buns they changed to don't work they are too fancy. Stick to the plain ol hamburger buns and make them like you used too. Then maybe we will be back. Thank you.

I love this place I drive to grover from orcutt because there food cooked right and they are fast and very nice customer service so yeah my favorite
