Before attending the Gaslamp Bartending School I knew next to nothing about making a drink or even what was in the drinks that I ordered. I now have the confidence and knowledge to jump behind a bar and start growing in the industry! Huge thanks to Nino and Eli!

I highly encourage anyone who aspires to become a bartender to sign up for classes at the Gaslamp Bartending School. I worked with instructors Nino and Eli for two weeks and I have to say it was the best decision I made for my bartending career. Even if you have bartended before the skills learned from this course allows you to become a top bartender. The course teaches close attention to detail that allows for drinks to be made with quality and in a timely manner. Not only do you learn the mechanics of drink making but the instructors also give a detailed lecture on how to land a job. Additionally, the course ends with the opportunity to guest bartend at the Nautilus Tavern that looks great on your resume and gives you the real life experience that is necessary to feel confident going into your next interview.

Had a amazing experience learning my bartending skills here. I am the worst student and have never done well in a school setting but Nino and Eli have a way of teaching that is hands on and they teach you how to remember the drinks. Nino will also teach you everything he knows about upselling, interview techniques and everything you need to know about bars. Thanks to GBS I’m ready to work as a bartender.

Absolutely recommend taking this class. I decided to take a chance and sign up, with the motivation of stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying something new. I graduated this class in July, and less than 2 weeks later I got hired to bartend in Gaslamp. Before this class, I had never bartended, nor did I have any experience working in a restaurant at all. Nino and Eli are awesome instructors and even better people, and the amount they'll teach you in two weeks is unbelievable. There's a reason GBS has so many positive reviews on here, its 100% worth it. Thanks GBS for everything, it's just the beginning.

It is truly amazing how proficient and comprehensive this class is. The instructor in charge of the class is super knowledgeable and really helps pass that knowledge onto everyone else. I would highly recommend this class to anyone. It was one of the greatest and most fun educational experiences I have ever had. 10/10.

This was a fantastic program! Nino and the bartending instructors really care about, and are passionate, regarding bartending and all facets therein. By the time you're done with this program, you should be ready/capable of working behind the bar in a high volume setting. Definitely worth every penny!

5 star experience! Full bar simulation set-up complete with POS. Gaslamp Bartending School gave me the knowledge and competence to go out and be confident in bartending job interviews. I just accepted an offer for a full time bartending position with benefits with a high-end international hotel chain, and I met a lot of wonderful people in my class as well. Nino and Eli are first rate educators! Highly recommend!

I can’t say anything negative about this school! Attending GBS was the best decision I’ve ever made! GBS focuses not only hands on training but also goes over how to build your resume, along with important strategies and techniques to outshine your competition when applying for jobs. Nino is someone who has been in the industry for decades and KNOWS exactly what he’s doing when training upcoming bartenders. Not only did it teach me how to be a great bartender, but it also introduce me to a great group of new friends! I’ll forever be grateful and will always rave about this school! It’s number one for a reason!

Going through this training was an incredible experience and I couldn't be happier with it. Nino put together the perfect curriculum of classroom learning with a ton of hands-on practice behind the bar. I was surprised with how much my classmates and I learned and how much progress we made in just 2 weeks. Our live service training where we worked a 30 minute shift at a real bar on Thursday night after passing the final was the perfect way to wrap up the program. Scott and Eli were wonderful instructors too - they all had us work hard and held us accountable while providing a lot of encouragement and support. I now have the confidence I need to become a real bartender!

Amazing School with the greatest staff! Nino, Eli and Scotty know the bar biz inside an out and they make sure to pass along their knowledge. Classes are fun and everyone helps to make sure you come out being the best bartender you can be. So easy to find a job with this education. A Must Have!

Story time. So my sister and I signed up for bartending school at the same time but attended different organizations. Fortunately for me, I ended up at Gaslamp Bartending School! In comparing notes and just talking about our experiences with our respective programs I can definitely say I got the better deal; more bang for my buck if you will. I won't take the time to highlight the deficiencies of this other company nor will I mention their name: because it doesn't matter. The only name you need to remember if you're thinking about taking a bartending course in San Diego is Gaslamp Bartending school. Class was fun and the instructors (Nino, Eli and Scott) were all really knowledgeable and helpful. The wisdom goes beyond making drinks and remembering recipes. They teach you the POS system, the science and history of liquor and alcohol, service advice and tips on how to break into the business. You'll get practical expereince with the live training, and Nino personally helps you with your resume. I think that's awesome! But warning. Do the homework, study a little bit everyday and come to class perpared. Seems like a no brainer but I slacked off a bit in the begining thinking "how hard could it be. " The two weeks goes by fast so it won't be a walk in the park. Overall my expereince with GBS was phemoninal! I would do it again.
