As a homeowner for over 20 years, please do yourself a favor and do not live here. Gateview Homeowner's Association (HOA) has declined significantly. Can you justify paying $855-1200 a month with no support from the HOA? The past few years have been a living nightmare.

1. The hot water problem continues to occur. (Past review regarding the hot water problem was mentioned in 2020. It's 2023 now). Imagine washing your hands/taking a shower and then the water begins to feel like boiling water, where you need to wait at least 5-10 minutes for it to return to regular temperature. What a huge waste of water! And guess what? Management doesn't follow through by fixing the root of the problem.
2. If you aren't aware, there are units with washers that are "grandfathered" in. People are taking advantage by having their own washer, while everyone else needs to pay and go in/out to laundry rooms. I asked the Board Members to ban all washing machines in units and majority refused. This may imply that Board Members may have washers and are voting in their favors. Washers can be a major factor in contributing to future problems for units; the plumbing system cannot accommodate such usage.

These multiple problems have been reported to HOA continuously (SO MANY TIMES, years after years) without any solution. I've went out of my way to bring my matters to the Board Meetings and the members are inconsiderate, dismissive, and unhelpful. (There's only 2 members that are an exception and help homeowners that I have been grateful to come across - so a BIG thank you to them). The rest of the Board Members, specifically Ketki S, Thomas T, and Joseph V, are all pro-management and try to excuse all the problems homeowners face. Get these members out. Your Board Members don't care about your problems; they will string you along until you back out. They are there to find every excuse to downplay your situations to avoid getting into legal issues. General Managers here at Gateview HOA don't have any powers. The Board Members make the final decision. They will continue to find every reason to raise HOA monthly fees.
I have poured every ounce of my strength and persistence to voice my matters and HOA is exceptional at dismissing problems. You have been warned. Gateview looks pretty and all on the outside, but it's ugly and evil when you truly see the people behind this HOA. Problems are inevitable and this HOA is the best at using their power to make up lies, twist truths within their management, and find every excuse possible to create a new narrative.

Excellent security and lighting. Security makes frequent rounds, and they are always helpful and courteous

When I first came to check out appartements at Gateview apartments, I was told it's a very safe appartement complex. I decided to rent a 1 year lease term, before buying. I noticed a lot negligence lately especially accessing the property, I have seen multiple times people are allowed in without having their door remote or keys.
I was in a trip for two days for work and when I came back I noticed my Van was missing and it was full on my work tools. I asked the security guys hoping that some work was done and my vehicle was removed from my assigned spot. Unfortunately it was stolen the same day I left according to the security cameras in the garage,
no one noticed that, how come?
I was told cars can access the garage without permission!
I asked for the insurance carrier of the garage or the homeowners association, and no one want to provide me that.
I also was told that security or homeowners association are not responsible for that so I’m wondering who can be responsible?
Still waiting for an answer and hopefully this won't happen again.
