Gateway Inn & Suites San Francisco (SFO) Airport, San Bruno CA

Very nice and clean hotel near to SFO airport#Gateway Inn. Friendly staff during Check in. Thanks you guys to make our stay more memorable!

Great no frills hotel located in a very diverse area of San Bruno. Check in was pretty simple and they had glass dividers at the front desk. The main entrance was not open and there was a garage entrance to the main lobby which is close to the elevator. I felt secure the whole time I was there because of the cameras located throughout. The room was clean and updated for the most part but the bathrooms takes time to get to used to. I like the way they have the toilet and shower separate, with the sink in the main room. The water softener makes taking a shower different but at least you get clean. They provide a Keurig machine with enough for two cups of coffee. There is a snack and drink machine on the second level. No breakfast.

When I go back to San Francisco I would definitely stay at this location again

This property engages in false advertising to fill up rooms. I booked my room
Through Groupon where I also received the booking instructions. I arrived for check in and they would not except my debit card for the security deposit.the receptionist alleged that I received an email from Expedia stating that they do not except cards without a chip! I re-stated that I did not book my room through Expedia. I was traveling out of city and left stuck do to false advertising! Not to mention it is a major safety hazard staying here as they lock down the elevators from 11pm to 6am.the one and only way to access the hotel rooms up to the third floor. You have to call the manager and hope they are there
on site or not sleeping should an emergency happens, or maybe you just need yo run down to your car! Just sharing for other normal working traveling parents who cannot afford the extra hidden scams of fees and so forth.

I love this hotel and am so glad I decided to stay here. Have experienced some poor stays at other hotels in the bay area lately but the Gateway Inn & Suites really cared about my experience. The front desk was so nice when I checked in and made me feel welcomed after a long flight over to San Francisco. I was really impressed with how clean the room was and everything in the room looked brand new. Front desk told me they just renovated and let me tell you they did an excellent job. There are several restaurants and shopping in walking distance which was convenient over my 5 day stay. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip and telling all my friends about it!

Great, updated rooms hid by a dumpy exterior in a not-so-pretty area of town. Would go back but for the limited parking.

Room was clean and a decent size for our family of four. Location is nice with a short drive to the city. There are plenty of restaurants and shops that can easily be walked to. The room really felt like a studio and made us feel as if this is what actual living felt like in San Fran. The room decor was pleasing and the accent wall with the window shutters were the focal point. The only drawback, is the parking. It's first come first serve. A couple of nights I was forced to park on the street, which was just outside the garage. Not a deal breaker at all, as the cost of this room is extremely affordable for south SF. I would definitely recommend if you are on a certain budget and looking for a clean room to stay during your trip.

All things considered my 5 star review reflects the great value and quality of this hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was nicer than expected. Combine those with a budget friendly price and its a great location. It will be almost impossible to find a better room for less money. They also have free on site parking which is another added plus. I stayed 2 nights and look forward to staying here again when i return.

The hotel itself is fine. Pretty standard, clean hotel room. However, I have never stayed somewhere that won’t even TOUCH your bed the entire stay. When we asked for clean bedding, they gave us sheets to do it ourselves. I get it’s COVID, but they were coming in to take out trash and switch towels anyway. ‍️ Very weird.

Zero customer service. They’ve got an attitude with a total unprofessional behavior, knowing nothing about what they’re doing. Zero customer service with Zero respect. Threatening guests saying they’ll call the cops. Just because the guest complaints about the service and room.
