I do miss the hot bar in thousand oaks, esp the stuffed cabbage rolls.
Service in pizza area was just ok. She didn't seem to want to heat the pizza slice for me. Unusual. But gelsons is a great shopping experience. Please don't change.
Friendly staff. Great selection of quality products. Weekly specials on select items, such as premium coffees, can be some of the best prices in area.
Nice store. Restroom faucet is incorrectly placed and drains water in the countertop when is shutting off.
The cleanliness of the store including hand sanitizers and wipes. Employees are always friendly and helpful.

We've always enjoyed pastry products from Gelson's; this is the first time I bought a cheesecake for a BD. The crust was soggy, and the cheesecake was liquidy, not firm when cut into it, melted like ice cream in the mouth. It is the strangest cheesecake we've ever experienced. The cake was abandoned; it was embarrassing.
The staff Lisa and Kat the managers are so helpful and Dawn the cashier is always happy and great to see. They always have such great quality items
Ordered Thanksgiving dinner for 14 after being under the weather for a week. Pick up was easy, dinner was fantastic. Gelson's makes everything easy and the pricing of this was lower than anywhere else I could have ordered from.
That as soon as there were more than two people waiting in line, the manager opened another lane. It is nice not to have to wait in line for extended periods like in other supermarkets.
The entire staff at the Gelsons on Avenida De Las Arboles is amazing. Always smiling and willing to help. The staff along with the food selections create a wonderful atmosphere.
Everyone knows that you can get a box of cereal from Vons or Ralphs for half the price that Gelson's sells it for. So what good is an overly priced supermarket? Their meat and seafood quality. If you want good meat, yes, Gelson's is the better choice. Quality of staff/service is a split however. The cashiers are always friendly and attentive. The deli counter staff is super rude. I agree with the previous commenter that the one lady working the deli meat section was very curt and unfriendly. There's barely any foot traffic in Gelson's, and they have about 5-7 working behind the counters. So why does it take 10-15 minutes to cut up a few slices of meat? Service should be top notch at a high-end market like this. Overall, I would not recommend this place. I would rather drive out to Wholefoods.
Beautiful clean store. Great salad bar. All kinds of prepared food selections. Bakery the best. Beautiful flowers. Wonderful staff.
