Gen Korean BBQ House reviews
17 Sam was rude and very unprofessional. We went on 11-26-21. None of us were familiar with how to order and asked assistance. Rude rude and rude again. Your staff needs customer service training.
. Again Same with her attitude proble was no
Need to have a waitlist on Yelp. Parked and walked all the way to the front just for them to tell you it’s a 2 hour wait.
The food was amazing for the price per person, the wait was worth it, one of waiters did have an attitude, the other two waiters were professional, attentive, and kind. I do recommend going, I'm definitely going to go there again, I'm honestly looking forward to it.
First time to Gen Korean BBQ. Haven’t been out to a nice restaurant with the family in a long time. We were hoping for a fun experience and where greatly disappointed. It was a little wait which was to be expected, when seated the host said he’ll be back with the grill. The menus are only with your device after you scan QR code. He dropped the grill in and walked away. We weren’t sure how or what to order. A server came for our drink order and what meats we want. I said it’s our first time here and all I got was you pick 4 meats and we bring them to you. Later the server made fun of us because we burned our grill and needed to be changed (twice). There’s more but It went down from there. Know one came to pick up check so I had to wait in line to pay. I asked the cashier about buying mochi ice cream and said I have to wait in other line to buy that. It was an experience but not one I will do again.
DO NOT EAT HERE!
This place is a complete disaster! Over priced, service SUCKS! Their floor is so slippery and when I addressed it with the “manager” she just said sorry. Their restroom is unbelievable! Imagine having to take your toddler in there. See the pics attached. I will NEVER be back. This place needs an inspection and I am making the call Monday morning!
Probably one of the best experiences I've had eating food. Definitely the best experiences eating Korean barbecue. They constantly kept bringing us the meat we asked and even brought us food when we didn't ask. I assume as a tactic to get us fed fast and out the door but it just works.
Definitely happy with our experience and would recommend to everyone who likes KBBQ.
The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because when we came in the floor felt incredibly oily and slippery and it was basically the same even when we sat down and left. I'm sure someone is bound to slip and I'm not sure if this is common but it should just never be thar way.
The food was good but the staff didn't work well together. I'm allergic to onions and they kept bringing me food with onions. Very frustrating!
Nice place, nice location with plenty of parking, very pleasant and efficient staff, and of course who wouldn't want korean bbq food. Love their meat, rice paper, and their very healthy pickled radish.
Great Korean BBQ spot as long as you're willing to wait a long line on peak times (weekends & dinner). Recommend ordering a variety of meats than the same things over and over again to really maximize the experience!
Location over charged me on my credit card, and the manager at that location said that there was nothing he could do about it. I told him he was as guilty as the employee who processed the payment without my concent. Some one there got a 49$ tip added to there check at my own expense. I have the receipt where it clearely says 298.00$ And was billed 347.28. Everyone check your receipts, there de frauding people.
Used to be great. Now they've removed some good items that we love, like the beef tongue, probably due to an increase on meat prices around the US.
People that work there are nice and quick
For the value, gen house is appropriately priced especially when you consider the abundance and quality of the food. The ambiance is to die for when you consider the dim lighting. Highly recommend EVERYONE stop here and try this classic Korean BBQ with an American spin. You won't be disappointed!
Thought they would change how they take orders. They have not. It still takes a long time to get someone to come to your table and get an order in no matter if they're busy or not. Next time I'm bringing a long stick with a flag at the end.
Good service if not busy
Good quality of food and those floors are still slippery even with hiking boots on.
They need to steam clean them or something.
Disappointing, disgusting. Ordered online for delivery the 7 meats and it says fully cooked but not. 1 additional item also missing. Poor service.
Gen is the best place I have ever eaten at. I want to thank the person that opened up this place and omg I love gen. Omg.
This was me and my daughter's first time here and it will not be our last! We have been wanting to come here for so long and we finally did and enjoyed every bit of it! It is a unique and fun dining experience for two or a lot, come get some Bulgogi and tell them Commissioner Vandiegriff of Carson, CA sent you! You're Welcome!
