Genki Crepes & Mini Mart reviews
19Delicious crepes and really fun little store to browse and shop while you wait for your crepes.
Been coming for years, but its changed- service down, prices up.i asked for a small empty cup after i got my cone and it was overflowing.guy looked me up and down and said no i have to charge you.so charge me then? Didnt like his tone and the fact they are trying to profit off providing a plastic cup.they made me get back in line FOR 25 CENTS and i couldnt use cc bc it was under the $10 min.they were legit not going to give me the 25c cup to help w the messy overflowing cone, but luckily another customer gave them a quarter.weird experience
Small convenience store
Cards accepted only above $10
famous for their sweet and savory crepes
Lots of traditional snack options
would recommend -
nutella
mango strawberry
I visited this place last year with my sis and it was such a unique experience with such creative crepes items.we had 2 items and I thought I might need 3rd but it was quite enough. I would love to try again whenever I visit SFO again and with these prices, always count me in!:)
Genki is always a good idea if you are looking for a late dessert at night. It's surprising busy even through Mon-Thur nights. The crepes are always good and a wide selection to choose from. I would say the customer service can be better. Overall it's a good spot to check out either alone or a group setting. There isn't really an area where you can sit so maybe a walk through the sunset.
It's our go to for sweet crepes, though parking can be a bit difficult to find. It's a quaint little store that also sells Asian items that's fun to look through while waiting for our order. We usually order the sweet crepes; you can't go wrong with any of them! The crepes are always crispy on the outside and the toppings are fresh. However, I was feeling extra hungry and ordered a savory crepe: the hot link, mozzarella cheese, and red onion crepe.
I considered ordering this before but we associated crepes with sweet things so savory crepes didn't sound that appetizing. But boy, oh boy was this crepe so good. A warm crepe filled with thin sliced red hot links enrobed by melted, stretchy mozzarella, along with slivers of red onion to balance out the richness. When you reach the bottom of the crepe, there's extra toasted cheese and a little pool of grease, so grab your napkins. The cheese pulls were impressive and delicious. I want to go back for more already!
8 years later, still my favorite. Awesome crispy crispy crepes and so many flavors and types!
Place is usually packed and lined up, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Cool little shop with snacks and groceries along with their famous crepes.
Love! Do not hesitate to get the banana, custard, caramel crepe. Carry cash if you don't want to have to meet the $10 minimum for electronic payments
Pretty darn sugary, the crape was crunchy, I got the Nutella and vanilla ice cream, it was too sugary in my opinion so I'd get a savory Option or something less sweet, very good though.
The crapes are the best ever… could eat them everyday but they only thing is they have every bad service. I called to order food to go and the lady said we are busy I can’t take your order. But online it says “order to go call restaurant”. And then she hung up on us. Wish it was a little more earlier to get a crapes on my birthday…….
Cute shop with lots of Asian snacks and goodies that are probably overpriced. The crepe was crispy and good but the ice cream flavors selection was pretty limited.
This place is to die for. Might be one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten in my life. I ordered #17 Beef Sukiyaki savory crepe and added chashu and salmon. It was heaven.
We got the black sesame egg puff waffle and it was really tasty. The crepe was very disappointing. It was more of a hard, crunchy shell that fell apart as it was eaten.
I got a crepe with banana, caramel, and custard. The crepe itself was very crunchy, dry and lacked flavor. The banana inside was extremely unripe and left me with a bitter aftertaste. There was very little custard and it didn't taste like much of anything. I'm not sure if any caramel was added because I didn't taste or see any.
Also, the employees making the crepes were not wearing gloves so their bare hands were touching a lot of different surfaces in addition to the crepes they were making.
Loooved the crepes here! I got both sweet and savory, and both were excellent. My savory crepe was smoked salmon, and the sweet one was strawberries and whipped cream. My partner got the beef crepe, which we thought was a little too saucy and lacking in ingredients other than beef. It’s also really fun to walk around and shop for snacks and just browse the market while you’re waiting!
Fantastic Service, Love the crepes. I've tried all of them. I love the boba as well.
The lines are long at night especially on weekends.
I like their coconut tapioca cups too.
I had the vanilla ice cream with nutella crepe. Delicious but for the price it should have been bigger. We also tried the cheesecake with chocolate ice cream crepe very tasty as well. There's very cool things in the crepe market inside some japanese goodies
This place is always good! Both their sweet and savory crepes! Got the beef sukiyaki w/ cheese and green onions crepe and strawberry Nutella vanilla ice cream crepe
