On December 29 my daughter and I went for a hike. When we got back to car our credit cards and money had been stolen. The thieves electronically opened the car. Immediately they spent over $6,000 between our cards. Please do not leave any valuables in your car. Lolita sherif’s said trail heads are targets. I would like to see camera in the parking lots. If you see suspicious characters take picture, please report to Lomita sheriffs. Thank you. Be safe.

We are birders. We came here to see if we can spot anything new to us. We took the Nature trail along the completely dried creek. There are wood decks along the trail. If you are a birding, those give you opportunities to see them. We saw a flock of nesting munias on the high, bushy trees. We were hoping to see the pin-tailed whydah but didn't see any. There are lots of horse drops on the trail. Though we didn't see any peacock, they probably are in hiding because someone showed us a long and short feathers of a male peacock. The bush along the trail are tall, provide coolness and lots of shades.

Another great walking ‍️ trail we did. This one was great and we enjoyed the place, the nature and the talking while we were there. Bring water and good tennis shoes for the walking. There is parking space and restrooms. Enjoy your walking and don't forget to pick up any trash and put it on the containers.

Beautiful short hike. About a mile up. Mostly flat except for the end where it get’s pretty steep. There were LOTS of bees. If you’re allergic to bees, this is not the hike for you. Otherwise, it’s very beautiful. Shady in some parts, and nice views of nature. Lots of poison oak/Ivy around too.

Nice ~20 minute walk up the trail with some steep uphill. One of those places in LA county where you can avoid seeing the city. Lots of butterflies, which is great if you're with kids.

Peaceful and quiet (now during covid) at the nature center, and this preserve has a native/sustainable garden.

The Nature Center's trail is a pleasant, short (about 1.5 miles round trip) up and back canyon hike. The trail is largely shaded and runs along a seasonal stream (it was dry in early April). The trail is wide, but can get crowded on weekends with families and the occasional horse rider.

I visited with my cousin who lives across the states a couple of weeks ago. It was great. The roses were in bloom and just walking around looking at plants has never been so fun.

Love this place. Love taking my kids there (3,1). They love walking around, looking at the wildlife, and riding the train. We have a membership and go often. There summer concerts are fantastic and so much fun. We will definitely keep coming here for years to come.

Quiet walk on a trail (1.15mi.). Be careful, there's a lot of poison oak! Nice view of Los Angeles at the end of the trail.

Nice long trail goes for miles make sure you bring water. They have water fountains at the beginning of the trail but it comes out super slow.
