George's Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Modesto CA

Love this spot. Fair in price and always giving at the bar, chef staff puts love to their food. Even their $5/appetizer menu is served with love. I wish they would add a pool table in the side dining area being theirs no place to play pool on this side of town. However, this is always my go to spot, I can have beer and an appetizer for under $10.

Again was very good and great service. My family's been doing it for a long time I like the tri tip sandwich and coleslaw. My mother like soup Ministroni.

Very good service, the waitress on duty at 6 pm was very professional and friendly, the menu was very tasty, especially the calamari steak.

My baked tasted a day old limp salad and forgot my bread. Ribs were good. But I wanted the meal to be good. Texas Roadhouse!

I was also witness on Mothers Day to the Karen and Darren. Signs were clearly posted! The food was absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and fast! I have come here on multiple occasions and can assure you that not one staff member is racist! If anything the way Karen was speaking to the staff was extremely racist. I felt bad that Darren seemed like he was having heart trouble of some sort until I watched him and her yelling in peoples faces and he walked out looking very healthy and he & she were threatening other customers outside. I agree with everything Jennifer Nunya said. It's a sad thing to have people leave reviews full of lies! I will be back and ABSOLUTELY reccomend you try this place!

Walked in the front door, smells like a dirty public restroom. Don't know if the sewer is having issues, or they just don't have a air freshener, or what.but it smelled like a public urinal.bummed me out.

Was thinking about lobster and/or steak but the smell didn't make me want to hang out to long.

Chose to sit in the bar. Clearly a neighborhood hang.
Everyone was nice. The jukebox was playing some weird stuff but you could tell everyone was into it, so maybe it's the regular playlist.

After a couple beers I forgot about the smell, until I left.

Joanna was great. Glad I sat in the bar.

Would like to try the lobster, but going to give them a while to fix the sewer thing.maybe next time.

I was pleasantly surprised the food was absolutely amazing my husband enjoyed the french fries he said they were cooked just like his home in London where they call them chips. Anyway absolutely fabulous place

This place is tops, it's a regular now. Very comfortable atmosphere, no ones trying herd you out when your done.really good food.

Good food, no line, bar kinda ruins it, being so loud in the evening but it's still a great place if you want to avoid lines like at Texas roadhouse etc. I love the barfood and brew, Had the nachos, Fish N chips and Grilled Salmon thus far, all excellent tho the coleslaw was a bit too sweet.

Food was good but the bill was full of mistakes and the waitress who work on Saturdays at 7pm is clueless and can't listen. They put 84 plus 7 dollars of tax = 101. That could be a violation if your computer putting wrong numbers. They put chicken down as Coral.

Its loud and echoing in the dining area. Took hubby for steak we weren't impressed. Rather go to Texas Roadhouse. The loaded potato was great.

I've been there twice this month. The first time I got fish and chips and it was amazing. Service was great. Second time I got ribs and baked potato and a sirloin steak. Umm. The ribs were delicious and tender falling off the bone.the potato was actually spectacular. The steak took almost an hour and 3 tries. I asked for medium rare.first time it was well and then some.second time it was rare to blue inside and crunchy outside.the third simply got boxed cause everyone had already finished dinner and I wasn't going to hold things up. But it was done right.

Service has always been excellent! The atmosphere has potential to be great. It's the clientele.the one or two loud mouths or parolee types that make it more a bar with grill rather than a genuine family restaurant. I know they are working on that and I appreciate that. Overall I recommend it and will go again.

Steak and lobster is off the hook and vary re

asonable price. Large sweet lobster and the Steak is cooked to perfection. And the place is never too packed. This is a must try.

To long to bring the food and the waitress don't want to talk Spanish to us and we know she is speaking Spanish

Unsuspecting joint with great food. By great I mean GREAT. It’s a bit loud for me, even in the dining room but definitely worth a trip.
