Gio & Gio New Concept Salon, San Diego CA

Ran a little late to my appointment and they were more than understanding and patient. Amber Dawn helped me and she was THE BEST. I had questions about my haircut and she answered all of them. She was very funny and we had a great conversation, it wasn't like I was sitting in the chair for an hour in silence while someone quietly and awkwardly cuts your hair. Can't thank her enough!

Best haircut place in San Diego! Hands down I've been coming here for the past 2 years.

I went in not knowing what to expect and I was blown away. I had the pleasure of meeting Isabel and she was fantastic! I told her what I wanted and she listened to every word. She really took her time and made sure I was happy with the outcome. I don’t usually leave hair salons very happy but this was the exception, I love my haircut! I’ll definitely be back and I’ll be sure to book my appointment with Isabel.

Being in the hospital for a week I wasn’t able to brush my curly hair, so I came in looking like a matted poodle. Suny was SO amazing; She reassured me we wouldn’t have to shave it and took THREE hours to untangle my mess. I’ve been here multiple times before too and always loved the results.

I'm writing an addendum to say that I got my first haircut by Tonia and it's the best one I've ever gotten! She intuitively understood how to add stylish layers to my particular hair texture and wave. The real test is that it looks great without blow drying it! She also continues to cover every strand of gray. Grateful for her talents and considerate, caring personality!

Ever since I got there (I didn't have an appointment) they were very nice and welcoming. Randall did an amazing job cutting my hair and the price is super affordable. I highly recommend this place

I like this place a lot. I go to Nicole all the time. She has a great eye for balance and consistency. I recommend this place and definitely recommend her for your next hair cut.

The environment is nice, when you go in they provide you with beverage options. Coffee, tea, water or beer and wine i think. I may need to double check that beer and wine.

If you're in the area, pay them a visit.

Ask for Sylvestre. He knows what he is doing and is so nice. The quality of his work is A+. My mother and I really enjoyed our experience at Gio & Gio. Wish we lived in San Diego, so he could be our permanent stylist.

I have been going here since they opened the place is fantastic and a breath of fresh air compared to any other salon downtown, the stylists are friendly and know their stuff! I appreciate you all so much and my hair looks great as per ususal!

Cheap prices but staff felt inexperienced. I went home and did my own styling to get the look I asked for but the girl really tried and was super friendly and nice.

They raised their prices, and charged $10 extra for long hair. $35 for a 1/2 inch trim from my barely chest length hair. Rip off! Stylist failed to understand my concern about removing the split ends, where they were, and gave me a run of the mill trim. My upper layer (with the most damage) wasn't cut at all. She explained that I could come back if I wasn't happy for free if it was roughly within a week. I'll just go elsewhere.

They have a great staff. I've received a hair cut from a couple employees and they all cut my hair well. They are very careful, friendly, and they go out of their way for their customers.

Having an appointment here means that an hour after your appointment they're ok telling you someone will be with you shortly.don't let them waste your time for subpar hair styling.

Don't give these people your business. I asked for a 4-inch haircut, and the woman cut 8+ inches off my hair. I MEASURED IT after taking what was left off the floor. This was NOT what I asked for. It took me 10 years to grow my hair that long. I am upset beyond belief. I can barely braid my hair anymore.
