Hiring a caregiver while my mom resides at a nursing home has been crucial to her overall well-being. We've been with Golden Age Companions for about two months and we've already turned over four caregivers.

The first caregiver didn't do any of the duties she was hired for (and she still got paid), the second caregiver disappeared and the agency has been unable to contact her, the third was genuinely compassionate about my mother's care, but had low standards of cleanliness. The current caregiver is awesome. She takes initiative attending to my mother's needs which has relieved me from constant management of ensuring my mother is satisfied with her caregiver. I pray we don't lose her.

The agency has been responsive to our concerns about the failed caregivers and seem concerned about providing the best care for my mother. That's why we're still with them.

In June of last year my aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The chemo and radiation treatments made her incredibly weak and her health declined quickly. I live too far away to care for her and had no idea what to do. Golden Age Companions was so knowledgeable and they made it an easy transition. My aunt now has a team of women who provide exceptional round-the-clock care to her. She has bonded with these ladies and they do an amazing job of keeping her spirits up, and I sleep better at night knowing my beloved aunt is safe and in her home.

After my dad passed my mom was really lonely and not getting around as well. She developed anxiety and depression. Our family called Golden Age Companions desperately looking for someone to look after our mom. We wanted to disrupt her life as little as possible by letting her stay home. GAC provided us with a great woman to look after and be a companion to my mom. She cooks, cleans, takes my mom to her doctor’s appointments and shopping. They play cards and do puzzles and have really bonded. Golden Age’s office even handled everything with my mom’s long-term care insurance policy to ensure we didn’t have to pay out of pocket.

My father has dementia and can be very difficult to work with. My family and I have worked with several agencies and we couldn’t find a good fit. Golden Age Companions came highly recommended to us through a friend, and we couldn’t be happier with their customer service and the care provided. The caregivers they sent are experienced and knowledgable and handle my dad’s difficulties with ease. We only wish we had signed on with them sooner.

I work in the healthcare industry and have worked with this Company on many patient cases to help provide an excellent continuum of Care. His team of caregivers and office staff are professional, experienced, with a fast response time. It is so important the families I work with have excellent care and his team provides the best. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking. I would not work with anyone else.
