Golden Gate Park is a nice getaway from day-to-day busy life. Children's play area including carousel and open grass area is so nice. Open areas with lots of appropriately distanced tables/benches u under trees provides a perfect setting for food/snacks. Good parking management too. Since the place is spacious, crowds are scattered/manageable during the current COVID-19 times and other times too. Clean washrooms (which becomes very important with kids) is added advantage. There are other attractions too here. This place is worth your family's time.

This is a really nice park. There are so many things to do here. Definitely plan more than a day if you want to do everything.

Warning:
The park is absolutely beautiful and there's so much to see and do, yes. The bad part is, there are no signs warning visitors of frequent car break-ins. If you're an out-of-town traveler, thieves target by license plates and look through windows for easy "smash and grab" things like backpacks. Broad daylight, busy street, witnesses: doesn't matter. SFPD admitted they have cases all the time, but don't usually catch the bad guys. If visiting, please be extra vigilant.

Love this park. Fantastic to run through, or lay out with a picnic. Highlights are the botanical garden, which is free to SF residents, and the disc golf course (also free).

Such a beautiful park! We visited the park during the 4/20 celebration. It was very packed, but we took our own way and walked around the park away from everyone. We ended up going to the flower conservatory which was amazing! So many beautiful plants it’s def worth checking out!

At 1000+ acres the possibilities at this Park are almost endless. From great hiking trails, the Conservatory of Flowers, to the amazing natural areas that's been preserved.

Such a beautiful park with winding pathways, both hilly and flat terrain, and breathtaking surprises around every turn.

Beautiful park. Its huge though so wear comfortable shoes.

Very busy and dog friendly, but it's not crowded because it's so big. Lovely morning stroll!

The golden gate bridge really is worth the visit. As a tourist, sometimes landmark can be overhyped, but the bridge lives up. The closer you are, the more imposing it really is.

For places like science academy, tea garden, de young museum and conservatory of flowers you have to pay. Nothing is free. I guess this is what it is. You can easily spend your day over here with lit over 150$ to visit these places.
Overall nice experience.

Very large expanse of different parks in one! We cycled around and still didn't get to see it all! Don't make the mistake we did in thinking that "it is really close to the bridge, so why not stop there along the way? " remember the hills!

We went here to visit the academy of science, and later we walked around here a bit. It's a nice walk and there are some places you can visit that aren't really crowded. Shakespeare's garden is a nice little place to stop by. The only reason I wouldn't rate it five stars is because some places will charge to go in, sick as the Japanese tea gardens. I was just wanting to take a quick stroll, but it looks like they were trying to make a quick buck.

It's a big park and you need a lot of time to stroll around and explore everything. It's free to enter, but there are some paid attractions inside, like the museum, botanical garden, Japanese garden, and I'm not sure what else. I only spent a couple of hours here, and it was definitely not enough.

Great place inside SF city for running. There is some free parking, a small flowers garden, even large wildlife roaming free (fenced).
