Golden Valley Rose Distributors LLC reviews
10Buyer beware! Ordered climbing roses 3 weeks ago. Never received an invoice though my credit card was charged. Sent email - NO REPLY. Called the number - still awaiting callback.
I purchased 2 rose bushes from them a few weeks ago and never received any confirmation email or anything. But of course the money was pulled out of my account. I tried to send an email to their "customer service" and it's an incorrect email address. I sent a message through their website and waited a few days.nothing. Finally I called the phone number provided and left a message. I still haven't heard back.
*edit* after leaving several bad reviews they finally sent me an email with an estimated shipping date.
Great own root rose seller. Good price and good quality. Wish they have more fragrant selections. I always recommended them to my rose lover friends.
I just received my "New Dawn" climbing rose. It was packaged carefully and came with a nice handwritten thank you card with my name. 5 star service!
Great Variety they had exactly what I was looking for, will definitely buy again from golden valley rose
I have a wonderful experience with Golden Valley Roses. First of all I had to cancel the original order for my mother and then reorder again because she was very indecisive but Orlando was so patient and nice about it! The roses came in very well packed and super healthy! They also very well priced. I am so impressed and definitely be buying from them again!
I have just received 6 roses that I ordered from GV just last week, one is for a gift for a dear friend, the others are all mine. I am so beyond impressed with what I received. The stems are so thick and healthy, which is more important than a few damaged or dried leaves that is clearly due to being transported over 3,000 miles in August.
All roses have been planted in pots and are enjoying the rain whlist they get settled in. I am so impressed I have just ordered 2 more roses, and would have ordered more, but there wasn't any others suitable for my zone.
Included in the box was a lovely, hand written personalized card thanking me for my business - you don't see that very often anymore.
Support the business's that go out of their way to provide not just an outstanding product, but also wonderful care for their customers.

Didn’t really know what I wanted but after talking to Orlando I was confident with my decision, I bought 3 Don Juan’s at a great price
Edit: One month later/new photos. They are in the ground now and they look good. Thank you Golden Valley Roses.
1st Edit: I've heard from Orlando, very kind and accommodating. The plants are grown differently than most own root companies I've dealt with (older and more exposed to elements - yes dormant). I'm remaining open minded. Previous: I've posted a photo of one of the roses (Don Juan) I received yesterday. I would have never have bought this if I saw it first! I can't reach the seller and I've been trying for about two weeks when I first ordered the roses, not delivered on time and not packaged well. The dirt was power dry and falling out all over the box too. I'm only giving two stars now because the seller included a nice thank you note with an apology for the late delivery along with an offer for a "free rose" with my next order. I have an open mind and believe these might be grown/propagated differently/grown longer in pots than other own root roses I have bought, so if Orlando would answer the phone so I can ask some questions, it might be okay. Are they supposed to dormant? I've never bought a dormant rose grown on its own roots, but since these look like older/hardwood, I'm open to the possibility. They definitely do not match the photos of the healthy bushy own root rosebush Orlando posted for purchasing consideration (which looked similar to most own root bushes of many I have received). My (own root) Don Juan rose from Golden Valley Roses actually came with a tag made for a grafted rose to properly care for the bud union. Edited to add a photo of the Joseph's Coat plant too. You be the judge. Personally I think they both look awful and I am so sad about this purchase.
If you need roses, this is the only place to go. I needed to replace some trumpet roses and couldn't find good, healthy roses anywhere close to me. I happened to look on the internet and found Golden Valley Roses in Bakersfield. I called and spoke with Orlando. He was wonderful. I ordered the 8 plants on Wednesday and received them the next day. They were packaged safely, in amazing, healthy shape with new buds ready to bloom. Their prices are very reasonable and shipping cost are minimum.
More importantly, the service and the roses are exceptional.
Thank You Orlando. Marti.
