Golden West Dining Restaurant & Motel, Loyalton CA

The bartender was just ruad had a 107$ bar tab told it would be put on my card I booked in whit.she said we can't do that. Just over all ruad about the hole thing. Well never go back again. 240$ not will spend.

Road closures got us to this hidden gem. Tom and his wife opened their doors after hours to rest up and wet our whistles, treated us as if we were family when we got diverted and stayed in town. The Saloon is very clean. You can tell he takes pride in being the owner. He was very knowledgeable about the area with lots of great recommendations. Original gold rush tavern with cold beer, good liquor, the best hospitality. I will for sure be back to Loyalton just for. THE Golden West Saloon!

Food was actually really good. Waitress was nice. The prices are high. So I definetly wouldn't take my whole family there. Would get expensive quick.

On Saturday I walked in at about 4: 45 p.m. I waited a few minutes for a waitress to notice me. Once she did, I asked if dogs were allowed. She went to the back to ask someone. A woman at the bar then asked if I had already been helped, which I thought was nice. The waitress came back and said that dogs weren’t allowed inside, but were on the outside patio. I said great, can I go get my boyfriend and dog real quick and walk them from here to the patio? She said yes. I did so, but in the second it took for me to retrieve them, she left. We walked ourselves to the patio and waited more than 10 minutes. No one ever came to even bring us menus. We ended up just leaving out of a side gate and drove all the way to Reno to eat. I am pretty disgusted at the total lack of respect displayed to us, fellow human beings attempting to support their business and find some dinner in a very rural area without a lot of options. The interaction started out fine so I don’t understand what happened but it was ridiculous regardless.

Had a great breakfast the blue hair waitress was as cool as a cucumber under the pressure we brought had fun and lots of laughs. The only thing is they need to step that breakfast gravy up a bit and load it with sausage.

Hot meal, nice people, and 10$ plate. Its not gourmet but you'll leave satisfied. They do have really good pizza.

I felt like I was transported back to a more simpler time! Food was great, staff was attentive and personable.

They were very accommodating! Whole place is very nice! Back patio area is a definite plus!

Love the pizza and the pool tables. Tami and Brooke are the best. Great vibes and great food.

The food is good only if you order pizza hamburger fries onion rings but ribs don't have meat on them, and dry as well and don't eat the steaks for the price we paid that night I won't go back

Plan your dining experience. No dinner until 5pm. Had th Western Bacon Burger. Took 1/2 home. Delicious! The Beer Battered Fries are yummy! Service is friendly.

Good American Food. Chicken strips and pizza are recommended. Don't order a milkshake.

Very simple. But very convenient hotel. Nice that the restaurant is connected and a cafe and local store across the street.

Great gourmet food, friendly staff, a game room for the kids. I loved the motel. Comfortable beds (not something you find everywhere). A real old west atmosphere in a real old west building with modern upgrades, including handicaped accessable. I will definitely be staying again and I recommend to everyone. Thank you to all for making my family feel welcomed ️

Best place I've ever been! Everyone is so nice and they go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. If they don't have it, they go get it! Super outstanding place. The rooms are super clean, spacious, and have an old time feel. Beds are so comfortable. A/c works amazingly. Atmosphere is very down home and make you feel like family. I've never experienced better customer service.

I thinking it will get much better in a short period of time. The new owners have stepped up to the plate and taken the whole job on which is no easy task. But in my opinion they are completely committed to our community, something we've not seen in a long time. I'm thinking they are well on their way to becoming one of us, if you catch my drift.

Kara was a great waitress, great service,! Very good dinner. The restaurant was clean even though in the process of remodeling the building.
