Gold's Gym, Simi Valley CA

What’s the call back policy for a Manager? I work long days & have been asking for a manager to call me since I cannot make it in person while a manager is on shift. I’ve left over 5 messages with different employees. Ps, annual fees are not “annual” annual means 12 months. I’m being charged 2 annuals fee within 4 months.

Update October 3,2023: Still NO CALL BACK

This club makes it as difficult as possible to try out their facilities. Just tried to go in, get the 7 day pass and fill out all their check in information only to give me songs and dance about a $20 fee. Blah blah, blah.

It is one of the best places in the area. The place is very clean. The cleaning staff is excellent. The only thing is that the girl who is the manager of those at the entrance must improve her behavior towards the clients. At least she has had to deal with me a couple of times and she has a somewhat rude attitude. Everything else, including the facilities, is not good, only that they do need to renew a few machines.

Olga was very helpful in giving me information when asked about something at yhe gym. Great customer service.

Ramon the general manager steps into help out.very kind and helpful.
Jennifer showed me how to use deadmill.she just started shift and gabe me three exercises to do on it. Shexwent above and beyond.

Please I mean please constantly clean your pools. After the last review about the pool it was clean for about a week. Seriously it’s a health hazard and seeing bugs in pools is an instant swimming turn off. I enjoy night swimming at absurd hours but I might start going to 24 hrs if the Pools are consistently dirty like this

update: 4 years later and the pool is still dirty.

Great place to workout, environment is awesome. Just wish they were a bit bigger and had a few of each equipment. Either go really early or really late to be able to use each machine.

Absolutely do NOT recommend this place. Employees were incredibly rude and made my drive from Moorpark (during rush hour no less) an absolute waste of time.

This gym is managed by children who have not been trained properly nor with any consistency. When I pointed this out their response was that how I spoke to the staff was unacceptable.   I was stern but respectful yet these poorly trained children were offended by logic and reason.   The manager was without skills or human empathy and told me that he didn't have time to talk to me or help me solve the issue. Yet Ramon made time to call me and issue me an official warning.     I have no problem with adhering to consistent policy but I do have a problem of being warned because these children failed customer service 101. I was asking logical questions not badgering anyone.   I asked for help and got  laughed at treated like the 'angry black woman ' anyway.    Micro aggression.

So now we have all been warned.

Great place for a real workout better price than competitors. Hope they can keep it clean.

This is Gym is great good machine to workout, sauna, pool boot camps end many clases.
They don't count with child care.
Costumer service is okay

I didn't want this to be my qualification for this Gold's Gym because knowing that the owner is a Cuban like me (I guess what a ball) I felt more confident and happy to go to the gym but on April 3,2023 I decided to take a picture of myself My wife who was in her Zumba class which I never do but I did it so my sister in law could see her sister who is in Virginia but what happened to that 2 girls came up to me rudely to tell me that I couldn't do what I was doing without asking what right I did it just rude but this not only stayed there my wife came out and
She told them it's my husband nothing is wrong according to them that many men had complained that there was a man recording the girls in the Zumba class which is not sorry but it's okay I don't do it it's not important then the manager comes to me from Gold's Gym to give me a talk about what happened I'm very weird I accept it I don't like anyone touching me although it's my body and whoever I want touches me but she didn't care that when she came to me she shook my hand and said I shook hands because he had to touch me twice and I already felt more disrespected because I didn't give him permission to touch me even a hair because you can talk without touching me I'll just go to another gym where they don't disrespect me or at least before to say profanity, ask why or with what right you do whatever a person is doing my advice that they should have more decent and prepared staff and that not because I look Latino you think I'm rubbish I may look Latino but I have education and respect so that respect me be happy

Immaculately kept gym, Jacuzzi, changing area, showers. Well Maintained equipment. Always state of the art training instruction. Knowledgeable, approachable staff. Excellent Classes. Unsurpassed Value- FORTUNATE to have Gold's in Simi- Train to Live: Live to Train -
Advice: Don’t sit on the equipment watching your Social Media - Train or Go Home.

They Have nothing on Golds gym Oxnard it's sad to see how people are getting lazier and lazier they use to Open at 4 for people that GRIND like me I work at 6 so 5am isn't a good time to start my workout why can't you and thousand oaks operate like Oxnard opens up at 4am like you use to I completely wasted my time going to your location didn't get my work out honestly never coming back im sticking to Oxnard Golds Gym
