Thrift Store Goodwill reviews
17Out of all the thrift stores on McHenry this is the best one. Store is not that big but its clean and most items are clean. Items are priced individually which is great. Most men Shoes are not in good ions and the ones that are in good condition are expensive. All other items are ok. Not much variation at this store though. Clothing is good
They have good stuff at good prices, but the jeans aren't organized at all! Unless you're tiny or thicc, you won't find your size here easily if at all.
These people price things for their friends
I just saw a guy bring two solid wood stools from the back saying they were for some one. They were priced at 99 cents a piece. They running a scam here.
They are unfriendly and dont have a public restroom and wouldnt take our money even tho the total was almost 100 I WILL NEVER GO BACK
The cashier was very nice unfortunately you don't offer senior discounts everyday like a lot of other Goodwill's do. A little expensive but all in all it was a good experience.
Always good bargains and very nice friendly costumer service specially from Carol! Great attitude and smile!
It's a fine store I'm a regular there today I made a cashier hella nervous tho I hope she didn't think I was to awkward lol
Very Disappointing experience at this store. Reserved a bluetooth speaker at the counter as per policy and another staff sold it to another customer.
I stopped in at Goodwill while waiting for a ride. The prices on the men’s pants I looked at surprised me - ~$4.00 for a pair of shorts. Unfortunately, they did not have the type of shorts I like in my size, so I did not buy anything. I also notched they were running a sale on children’s clothes - 99¢ for anything with a pink tag. I thought my niece might find something in the children’s section, so I send her a message.
Cons: None of the sizes are organized & the prices are high for a thrift store. Pros: There's nice dressing rooms & no strong vintage smell to it.
Loads more clothes than The Good Samaritan, but it feels kind of.soulless. The Sisk location is a little better.
Clothes here tend to be a bit more expensive than other thrift stores in the area. Miscellaneous and household items are better prices. Still I can usually find something I like.
Always loved to go to the goodwill, but lately they seem over priced for free donations to you. And I really hate how everything is in color groups.
They make the men leave their backpacks in the front while the females can bring their big purses inside. So if you're traveling leave your backpack in the car or hotel because otherwise you have to leave it in the front by the door where anybody can take it. Horrible customer service.
I was unaware it was normal behavior for employees to call customers rude when they are directly informing you of their needs. I can only hope that this particular employee is temporary so that I may someday enjoy my favorite Goodwill store again. I regret not catching a name because I would have loved to file a report for whichever work program she is working through.
They don't have an over-the-top huge selection but what is there is a pretty good quality. Donations were pretty easy as well you just go around back drop off your items they give you your right off receipt
Please separate clothes by size, stop using clear box sealing tape on items (it leaves a residue that ruins collectibles and other items), sell mugs individually and not in groups, and your pricing is kind of high on some items.
