Goodwill Outlet Center, Electronics Store and Donation Center reviews
7 I've been in this location enough times to finally do a decent review of it and if you don't feel like reading a long winded explanation all you need to know is this: don't bother coming here as an individual customer since anything good isn't available for sale and the few things that are available get sold to a literal cartel of buyers. Find a decent non-crime ridden goodwill.
Now if you feel like reading on. The location itself is nice enough (building wise) but it's 100 percent geared for huge moneyed interests who buy stuff from the USA and then resell in Mexico. Most of the staff will reserve any of the good items to sellers they know personally so you'll be out of luck if you think you're snagging something. All of these sellers essentially no joke form a goodwill cartel of sellers who seem to have dibs on everything. Management at this goodwill seems to be aware but they don't seem to care or are very likely in on how the selling and buying is done. Next let's speak about the trash in the parking lot, it's everywhere and there will be literal caravans preventing you from parking blaring loud music during your whole stay (and no security won't help you or care) and you'll be driving through trash that the poor overworked goodwill workers try to constantly sweep. Be very careful getting items of interests it's not unusual for you to be accosted or threatened with violence by the big buyers outside if they feel your item should've been theirs. That being said if you need a charger or something or happen to be in the area then sure swing by they have literal totes of the stuff they can't get rid off. If you have to go here for any reason go closer to closing time since the big buyers by then will be gone and you'll have a decent time to scour anything that for some reason nobody could tell had some value. I've snagged an x230, a mech keyboard, and even a decent Nvidia card. Of course this been over the course of about 2 years now so that should tell you how bad this location is. All I have to say is this, I've been in some shady goodwills but this one takes the cake.
Good luck if you come here. Or better. Don't.
They sent me out at 1: 20. Previously bought a computer here and am happy with it. Super low price on hard drives.
Great place for deals on electronics and audio, a little hrd to find because its an office building but the staff is super helpful. I do wish they had more testing bays but other thn that, plsce is awesome
It's really nice and clean. The retail area is so small, and it's nothing like the old one in downtown. I really miss the old downtown one because it had everything.
Professional and courteous staff. I donated a at flat-screen television. Took 10 minutes drop-off.
This about security and management
Security they pick on the working poor for petty things and they over look alot of safety and fire issues
They throw away too much merchandise that can be resold but they are more interested in filling up the landfill
Raises are rare and the turnover rate is real high
Security chords it's employees just to sign things they shouldn't
Says Goodwill Outlet now open but is not an outlet. It’s an auction and electronics center. Went in the entrance and could see people in an office but no one helped me and they kept working on a computer. Went outside and talked to a random person who told me what it was. I feel bad that I made my family get off the freeway to stop since it was a waste of time.
