Goodwill Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada reviews
14Great to see some good folks working at this Goodwill. All 3 staff ppl I spoke with actually seemed down to earth and connected to the conversation which is rare in customer service, so I post this re ire because of their kindness and helpfulness. Thank you.
Decent store, just here to laugh at the absurdity of pricing a tube of used tennis balls for $5.99 when the exact balls cost $3.50 new. The dumbest thing I've seen in my entire life. Hilariously clownish behaviour.
A lot of folks are downsizing before a move, after a move, cleaning the closet. The Goodwill, centrally located in midtown, is a great place for donations. Drive slowly through the alley, stop, and Lamanz, Goodwill's experienced warehouse employee, will help sort out your STUFF. He is courteous, and there is no judgment.
He and the employees there know what they can accept and what they can't. And the store is big. There's parking if you want to venture in and have a look.
Doesn't take donations for 30 mins because of a truck in the back. Pretty simple. Go to another location for easier drop off.
In my opinion, this goodwill has a great collection of womans clothing. It seems like everytime I shop here I find so many great items to add to my wardrobe!
I was in there yesterday and a man asked me to use my phone, I shouldn't have but I did. He began asking me very invasive questions about my martial status. I felt uncomfortable with his questions and what he was doing on my phone. I found a male employee and asked him for help he said, "what do you want me to do. Call the police or something. " Okay. The man that used my phone was still harassing me and lingering around the store. The employee I spoke to then for some reason informed me that he did not have gun, implying that I wanted this man shot. Which is absolutely insane, and a weird thing to tell someone. He also lied that he was the only security in the store which he was not. It's just crazy to me that people can be harassed in that store and it's no concern of employees working there. Thanks for nothing.
I'm at one somewhere in the Sacramento area locations at least three four times a week
It’s okay! It’s the Goodwill. Senior citizens get a discount on Tuesday and Wednesday I like that! Haha Keep up the good work! See you soon.
You can buy pretty much anything lol. I made a mistake in the survey selection. Excellent customer service.
A nice sized Goodwill with a good selection of items. Prices are usually reasonable. Parking can be difficult during peak hours
Swooped on a pair of $200 designer jeans for $8. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon walk. That being said, it’s a small location with limited offerings outside of women’s clothes.
Like all goodwills you have to search and get lucky but it is possible to find great deals
Not usually too picky when it comes to Goodwill… because well, Goodwill. However, this one just put a bad taste in my mouth. Right when I walked in I went to the coats and immediately knew that this Goodwill was very highly priced. Which is fine, sometimes stores like that mean you’ll find some good pieces meaning they get good stuff! I change my mindset to think I’ll find some unique items or good quality pieces.
Unfortunately, My issue was the workers… surprisingly I’ve always thought Goodwill workers were friendly and always seemed happy! Today one lady was very rude and had no manners. As I was shopping in an aisle she walked right up to my cart and started adding items to the rack exactly where I was looking. Sure, fine no big deal but she never spoke a word to me even as I felt I had to move back and allow her the space. I guess I was just expecting an “excuse me” and every time I ran into her it felt I was in the way. Even as she walked by other customers she seemed annoyed by everyone. I don’t know, maybe she was having a bad day. Also, I don’t know if it was just me but I felt like everywhere I went there was a worker by me… I don’t think I’m suspicious looking but dang, I felt uncomfortable and like I was a bad person for shopping around or stopping to look at my items. I’m indecisive and have to stare at what’s in my cart before I buy.
May go back due to it being so close by but with the prices and not the friendliest staff I’m not sure it’ll be a frequent stop for me.
