Goodwill Southern California Store & Donation Center reviews
25We came to the store everything was great the cashier was very courteous and I believe one of the customer service rep by the name of Luis was very helpful.upon asking to speak to Luis for customer related question the manager stated that we could not speak to him that he’s is not allowed manager name was mustofa she was an African American lady! And we then she stated that he was not the manager we weren’t asking to speak to a manager to began with we just had some question in regards to some merchandise found her to be very stand of ish, and very rude to the point that we left everything.again this is not for the cashier nor the customer service rep Luis this is for the management!
Books are super expensive. Books can't even fit in shelf any more and still this people won't lower the price on them. Pathetic if you ask me. Three dollars plus old books what the hell why? The rest of the store is okay I like it but I came here for books. Don't come here. HIGH PRICES LOWER THEM!
I did my community service here and I also donated here. This store has an extremely friendly and helpful energetic staff and this goodwill is organized better than other locations I’ve been too. If you don’t like the goodwill nearest to you try out this location I can promise you it won’t disappoint!
Selection sucks here.nearly impossible to find anything good at this location.
You’re far better off going to any other goodwill in LA for basically anything you’re searching for.
In addition to the dismal selection.the employees are atrociously unprofessional.
I spent the majority of my visit listening to the employees gossip about another employee.
Didn’t catch the employees name who they were gossiping about; but I spent an hour of my time searching for good finds, and attempting to tune out the nonstop gossip that all the employees felt no hesitation sharing on the sales floor.
Super uncomfortable experience.
Great deals. Nice store. Easy drop off. Wish things were just a lityle better organized. Super nice people there as well!
One the worst Goodwill's I've ever been to.rude customer.and I've seen employees putting donated goods in their cars.corporate needs to clean this place out.
This place is awesome. Customers service best, sergio good guy helps a lot.
But the mannager jackline is not she have to be like the employes nice.
Just went to drop off clothes. Was greeted with a smiling face, nice conversation and they got me a donation receipt quickly. I'll definitely go back there to donate!
The staff is so unfriendly, especially in regards to kids. I'm not going there anymore even though they sometimes have some good stuff.
Very kind and helpful. The gentleman was working so hard and stopped to help me. Very good experience.
Love love this place.never can I make enough time to shop. Parking lot needs light! FOR REAL! Very scary and dark at night. 9: 00 pm closing time.
Got alot today at good will for a total of $14.89 On thursdays it is a dollar for the color of tag they say it is. Today I got boots for a dollar and I got a bunch of dresses for a dollar and then about one dress it was 5: 49scored alot if things today. Last week i wanted these boots i got today gir a buck an tbey were 15 last week and o got a black back pack purse that was 15 bucks last week. This is the Goodwill in Westchester on Sepulveda across the street from Will catty-corner from the Mormon church right when you going down the hill on the right hand side so if you want to deal that's where to go on Thursdays we have appliances mark down pillows comforters all kinds of things have fun
Smaller Goodwill store than others in the area, with a difficult (small, elevated) parking lot, with a minimal selection and limited variety of men's clothing and housewares. That said, I've still found the occasional gem.
This is only in reference to the donation center. I regularly donate to my local charities and it's normally a pleasant experience but this place is just horrible. The staff was unfriendly (no hello or thank you), so focused on unloading a truck that they couldn't be bothered with helping those with drop-offs, there was a clear language barrier with the person they choose to handle receipts (absolutely frustrating). I'll find a different location or organization but my hope is that the feedback will improve the experience for others.
Maybe this location is actually a for profit business pretending to be a non profit. Just ask to speak to the mgr when no price is listed on an item and you'll experience what I'm saying.
They sure price the items high for being non-profit. 20 bucks for a used pair of shoes, 70 for a used TV, list goes on and on. For the price you pay, you are better off buying new. Goodwill should change there name to goodprofit.
They've become way too greedy. Kids clothes no real deals to be had. Might as well buy new.which i did.
Used to be a nice thrift shop, until I was rung up by a rude, idiotic cashier who, with a very rude tone, told me I couldn't leave an item at the counter after I changed my mind and decided I did not want to purchase it. Basically, she wanted me to take it back. I guess she forgot I don't work there. Needless to say, I did not make a scene as I had an out-of-town guest, but I will not be returning to this location as it seems to allow this type of behavior from idiotic low-rent staff.
Bait and switch tactics used here.
The person at the counter will say that the tag is incorrect and needs to go check with the manager. They then come back with a price at least double what was tagged. The third time they pulled this with me they tried telling me the shoes I wanted were $65 when the tag clearly said $20. They're pulling a scam here. Not for profit my @$$
I regularly donate items to this Goodwill location. The people working here are always happy to take my donations. The store is generally in much better shape than a lot of Goodwills. It's nice to see the store takes the effort to create a pleasant shopping experience for customers, in addition to being generally polite when taking donations.
If you're donating to the store, make sure to hit the buzzer in the back and wait for someone to come out. Don't just leave items outside!
