Goodwill Southern California Store & Donation Center reviews
17 After being closed since mid-March they are finally open. However you need to call every morning every store to find out if they are accepting donations or if they are at full capacity. By the time you get there often times they are closed, no longer accepting donations for the day. Then they have become very picky as to which items, clothing or otherwise, they accept. An employee looks through your donations and decide if they are worthy of being donated.
Absolutely no centralized organization or triage, every store fends for themselves.
Sadly people will just start dumping all the items that can be donated in the TRASH.
Much faster, fewer headaches, no hassles. So much for trying to be environmentally conscientious.
I had the most amazing experience, I found a lot of great treasures. I will definitely be returning. And the staff is so humble and inviting, made me feel so welcomed. I have to say, everyone that works here has done a superb job.
Terrible place. The employee gives you false information about returns/exchanges and instead of exercising any customer service at all, and at the very least apologizing for the mix up, the MANAGER (LIZETTE) immediately implies I’m lying. No reasoning, no customer satisfaction, no care at all. Before I even purchased my item I asked what the return policy is. The cashier told me as long as you have the receipt within 7 days, they will REFUND. I brought it back a few days later and I was denied a refund but offered an even exchange. I explained what I was told by the cashier and the manager said she was not going to argue with me and that all of her employees know the policy.
Terrible customer service. Terrible unhappy people.
Never in my life had I felt so bad as in this store the managers are so rude nobody had ever made me feel that way just by going to buy except the manager with blue hair she is the nicest person in the store.
What a zoo.sorry, but full of people, kids screaming, pulling toys in the floor, crying because mom will not get a item, I just run out as fast as possible.
Found a nice hoodie here. Seen some goodwills that are better organized but u can find what u need prolly. Pretty decent book selection as well!
Mid size. Fairly efficient as charitable organi
zation. Accepts donations of used goods and sells same. Lots of clothing well organized. Also Small appliances, kitchenware, dishes, glassware, books, DVDs, some furniture. Prices ok. Small parking lot.
This is a somewhat unobtrusive Goodwill tucked between Glendale and Eagle Rock, staffed by unexpectantly (and perhaps a tad over-enthusiastically vocal) staff. But however immune you may become to the incessant announcements of "colored tag discounts, " the seemingly endless introduction of new "treasure-laden" carts and similarly numerous "special discount days, " there is no denying this location usually has the largest and best name-brand selections of used and (sometimes) new clothing (both for men, women, as well as kids). One caveat resulting from this wealth of clothing is the amount of wading thru tons of average-to-junk clothing that may be necessary to find that special item. This is a small price to pay for the many "pennies for dollars" savings that can be found. This location also carries furniture, electronics, household appliances, luggage, books, vintage vinyl, VHS tapes, DVDs, toys - all to varying degrees. Parking can be a little tricky especially when the larger Goodwill trucks squeeze into the smallish parking lot, but I think street parking is allowable (not 100% sure of that statement.but the rest is true).
Wow, it's all about giving back. These are great people, great store and involved because "they truly care".
Great to donate your old furniture and clothes, also if you have big furniture they will come and pick it up for free
I like this location, somewhat.
It has more parking than The other Gw local shops. But, ir could be a lot neater and better organized. Like The Tujunga store.
So many things to look at and desire! With a really big floor space & Everything is in its proper place and most items are in good to great or new condition and prices are VERY reasonable. The only change I would make is the wait time too checkout was unusually long and unnecessary as there was plenty of personnel cleaning and stocking shelves. Otherwise, one of my favorites!
It seems that Goodwill is thinking that people will be willing to buy items priced equal or greater than ebay or amazon.
It's ok because it's Goodwill. Same.story different address. Biggest gripe I have is that they don't know how to sex their clothing. CONSTANTLY thumbing through the men's clothing and hangar after hangar is women's clothes
Lots of items, saw a Calvin Klein moto jacket but very disorganized and several flippers in attendance on a Monday mid-day. Great place for those who like to dig through mountains of clothing for one or two good pieces. Parking also filled up fast in the back.
Amazing deals throughout the week and cute vintage finds throughout the store! Clean and friendly staff.
Parking is very limited but you can get a spot if you are patient - people come and go within 5-10 minutes. Aside form that that, the staff inside seem friendly.
