Goumaz Campground reviews
5A hidden jewel. Nicely treed campground with no frills. $5 a night. Camp host came by to see if we needed anything. Very quiet and peaceful. We will return.
Great free campground. Potable water, fire pits, picnic benches and a beautiful creek running through. Great place to camp. They do have one toilet but it's a trek from most of the camp sites.
Super cool, quiet spot to spend the day. Bring some bug spray for the evenings, the mosquitoes can get bothersome.
Camping area is small and quaint. It has a few fire rings and tables that sit beside a small creek. It's shaded nicely and has a restroom. There's a lot of nearby hiking and woodsy roads to explore. Across the dirt road is a bridge with a runout of the same creek, and if you follow that you'll come to another bridge, follow the dirt road through the open gate. That opens to a gorge that flows the Susanville River (see pics). Keep bear spray with you; I've seen 3 now in just over a month.
Cute little camp ground and the Bizz Johnson Trail is right there too!
