Grand Harbor Seafood and Dimsum Restaurant, Burlingame CA

The food is great here, the view is awesome because you can see airplane takeoff and landing. It's easy to park if you come early, but got nowhere to park at the peak hour.

They have the best Dim Sum next to Yang Sing in the Embarcadero. The price point is better here as well the service and the food is fantastic.

Our trip to Sonoma ended in SFO, we stayed at Westin by the Airport and decided to do lunch at Grand harbor Seafood and Dimsum. Dimsums are always my favorite. My review as follows.
Parking: for a Tuesday Afternoon, the place was packed. No parking, had to wait for someone to leave.
Ambiance: Nothing to rave about, it is a traditional Chinese eatery, great lazy Susan tables chairs. Plenty of place. Huge restaurant, no waiting at all.
Now is the food. We ordered so many items, it is hard to explain them all, so I tried my best.
We ordered almost all the dumplings shrimp based except for couple of Chicken based and one pork based. All the dumplings were excellent. Perfectly spiced and sauced.
Vinegar Okra w/Garlic: awesome. Bit slimy but tasted great.fresh okras, it was still crunchy.
Sesame Balls: So happy we ordered this. This had bean paste filling, not too sweet.loved it.
Veg Fried Rice: very disappointed with the rice, didn't meet the standard, but with a bit of hot sauce and soy, it was palatable.
Service was super fast. Price is nominal.
In summary, this place is a great place to go as a family and friends, try all the food on the menu, you won't be disappointed.

The Food is satisfyingly GOOD! The menu offers a lot of delicious choices that are beautifully pictured. The service is FAST and its very reasonably priced! I have been there many times for early dinner - 6pm - not too busy yet, but gets full by 7pm. Their Sunday dim sum (till 3pm) is superb, can be busy, so its wise to make reservations ahead of time. The restaurant itself has a spacious feel, ceiling to floor glass windows, with a the view of the water. If you want well cooked Chinese food and a good fast service, that doesn't break the bank, this is a place to go to. I will keep coming back to this place.

I have been wanting to try this place for 2 years. Finally made it here from a distance. So disappointed. I wish I could comment on the food but we never had the chance to eat. No greeting at the door. Looked around for 5 minutes and found a woman who just pointed in a general direction for us to sit, no verbal communication she just kept pointing. No wait staff came to our table for 10 minutes. Finally waved down a waiter for menus, which were dirty and sticky. Told the waiter this is our first time here and would appreciate suggestions. He just stood there and nodded. One table had 3 people waiting on them, those patrons were Asian and we are not. Maybe there was a language barrier? We were going to order because we didn’t want to be rude and leave, but then I thought we are spending our hard earned money that they don’t deserve. Another table of people sat after us and already placed their order, again Asian patrons. We left after 20 minutes. Terrible experience.

Our first time at this restaurant. We've been to many dim sum restaurants before. This restaurant really impressed me with their fast, attentive service. What impressed me the most was when owner's son, Kevin, came and refilled my son's water glasses, he covered with his hand to avoid splash to surroundings. I don't see that in many restaurants let alone at a Chinese restaurants. Small gesture like that stands out in my eyes. Also there were many servers walking around checking at all the tables and constantly communicating with each other or with kitchen staff through intercom headsets. Very efficient. The restaurant is located over the bay. Nice location. Definitely recommend and will come back again.

A good place with good customer service and a nice view to see airplanes landing on SFO. Food is ok

The food was great, when we eventually got it. The service there is Horribly slow. We almost got up and walked out, it was taking over an hour to get all of our dishes. No waiters came to check on us. We had to flag them down to ask about our order as well as additional items needed. LIKE NAPKINS, DRINKS ETC. Won't be going back there.

I was lucky to get a seat by the window so I really enjoyed viewing the Bay and the planes landing! The food was also nice)

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was traditional. The view of the bay and watching the airlines land was decent. Staff was very friendly and polite. Food arrived timely manner. Food was a little pricey but its SF and by the airport so your paying for location but was well worth it.

Will definitely eat there again.

Great food. Need to ask what's to drink if u dont want tea. Great place for lg groups. Call ahead.

Really good dim sum but very pricey. I guess you're also paying for that bay view. A plate of Chinese broccoli for $10! You can often get a similar item at other restaurants for around $5. Of the items I had, the shrimp and spinach dumplings was a standout. What's really missing are the dim sum carts. Do any dim sum restaurants use them anymore? The carts are fun and they let you see the food before you order.

Service ok, waited at the door like the sign said for 5 min and finally a manager came out and gave us a wrong ticket number asked us to wait while plenty of late usual customer walked right in. Dim sum I had better else where, you can skip. I did like the glass fried pigeon, very crispy and not dried. Must try.

Well managed and sizeable restaurant but do go or RSVP early to secure a table. Well worth traveling our few extra miles for the gorgeous ocean view, and don't forget to try its signature chicken soup bowl.

Grand Harbor Seafood and Dimsum is a great restaurant! Their menu is extensive and all the fares are sumptuous. Dimsum is always freshly made. They do not skimp on ingredients making all the fares delicious. The restaurant has a great view. So conducive to good eating. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and courteous. We'll surely go back to try more!

Nice place for Dim Sum in Burlingame. Next to the bay with a view. Food is good (tasty) and prices are mid-range. The waiter was nice and helpful. No cart to pick from, you have to make your selection off a menu. Don't make too many choices or you'll end up taking extra to-go boxes home. Even the Food Guy has been here!

I was never a fan of dim sum until I went here. Wow wow wow. The is place was great and everything made fresh for you unlike those places where it is pushed around on carts. I really recommend this place but get there early or else you will have a long wait.

This was one of my favorite dim sum places to go to pre-pandemic. Reasonably priced, good view, good food. The whole shebang. I recently came after the pandemic and left very disappointed. The prices were marked up, the food seemed more oily, less abundant, and less aesthetic. I would've given it a 5 before the pandemic and a 3 ot 2.5 after my last visit. I'll update this when I give it another chance the next time I go. Still a much better choice than HL a few steps down the road.
