Was impressed by the variety offered here! Wish I had a farmer's market like this where I live!

Very popular, hippie vibes. Kinda chaotic and that's what gives it the appeal. Prices reflect the current inflation, you pay a lot - you get a little. Bring cash, very few businesses accept cards or Venmo.

My favorite farmers market. Lots of options for produce and hot food.

I try to check out “here and there”’s sandwiches every time I go.

Annie’s Toum sometimes has a cart and their garlic spread is the best.

Dooryard Provisions has great seaweed and seasonings that are hand foraged.

Great food, friendly environment with plenty to choose from, great pour over coffee from Bicycle Coffee Co.

Like any Oakland experience, parking is a pain but they have a wide variety of stalls, a lot of vegan options, and a cool Japanese knife vendor

Most things are local which is great but the prices for produce are ridiculous. I want to support local farmers and business but $10/lb for cherries at almost every stall, vs $2.99/lb from the grocery store? Yikes. Good baked goods offered by local vendors

Best farmers market I've ever been to, so many more vegan vendors than other markets! Try out kubé ice cream if you see them, it was SO good.

I used to LOVE the farmer's market. Honestly I still do. But today I had a horrible experience of sexism and racism.

I stopped at one of the food stands, a normal stop for me and my partner every Saturday. He was not with me today. When I declined a sample indicating I'd be purchasing items to restock, the proprietor turned cold and stopped engaging with me. The other member of his team began taking my order, gathering my items. Suddenly, a white woman came in, interrupting my order and placed her order and paid. The proprietors stopped interacting with me completely and served the white customer. It was as if I wasn't there. The white woman ordered and paid, even had a chat with the proprietors, all with me standing there with my jaw on the floor. It wasn't until the white woman left that they returned to attend to me.

I'm deeply disappointed in what happened. I've never experienced such direct sexism and racism at the Grand Lake Farmers Market before and it's been years since I've experienced this in my life.

Needless to say I will no longer be supporting that business and sadly may refrain from going to the farmers market regularly.

Best market in the area, hands down. Wish they did Saturday and Sunday! Great to just stroll around, but will also have anything you’re looking for and anything you may need!

Love love love this farmer's market. The selection is great. I've never driven here but parking looks like a nightmare. Sometimes it can get pretty crowded but the lines are not too long. You can find everything ranging from fresh produce to hot meals, drinks, frozen foods, breads, etc
