Great Clips, San Mateo CA

Brought them a picture of hair style my son was going for and they ignored it and just gave him a regular clipper-blended boy cut. He'd been growing his hair out for a certain style he wanted and was very upset. Luckily it will grow back, but we won't be returning. Very busy waiting room with only one stylist, but that's no excuse for ignoring the customer.

Not so good Great Clips. I went there because my usual place was closed and all I needed was a trim. Big mistake. The lady who gave the trim never listened to what I needed and she seemed to be in a rush. The trim turned out uneven. Who messes up a trim!? Lesson learned. Rather spend 10 bucks more at my usual spot for someone who enjoys attentive and knows what they're doing.

The best hair cutting salon in San Mateo. You can believe me because I have been going there for 3 years.

I had attempted to cut my son's hair and turned out terribly wrong. We were in a rush to get to a business party and I couldn't let him go like that so we just walked in and Reeta was amazing! Quick professional and kind, she even cut my other son's hair because he saw how awesome she was and wanted a haircut too! Thank you Reeta you're a lifesaver! We will definitely be back!

Today was my first-time experience here and it was amazing. Rosario's friendly nature, attentive approach, and fun personality created an environment that was not only welcoming but also made me excited to come back for future visits. Terrible hair cut. Uneven side burns. Top hair is uneven and long…this inspite of showing a picture

I've been going this Great Clips store for a long time. Consistently good haircuts is the reason why I keep going back. Hairstylist Nina is my regular. She is able to deliver exactly what I'm looking for, even when I decide to change my hair style and length. Two thumbs up!

It was great! I signed in online, and there was barely a wait. I enjoyed the cut that I received, and I will definitely be going back.

Just had the worst haircut in my life, and I have to cut it again myself after came home. $24 is the highest price I have ever paid for a quick haircut at great clips…

In line with above review for today by someone. There was an old lady who seemed to be in so much hurry! She cut the hair so roughly almost as if she was forced to do it. On the top she kept on complaining that I have a lot of hair? ! Like, really? From the moment I sat down she was continuously pushing to get things done not even pausing to understand what kind of haircut would I like.

I came here again just because the last time some lady cut my hair here which I really liked but I guess she no longer works here or maybe works on different days. Never coming back here again!

Wow! Didn’t even bother sitting down in the chair. One lady barely spoke English. All old ladys working this day. Which is fine I’m sure they need to work. But great clips need to step up and get some skilled barbers. And please know what a box shaver/electric razor is. Its 2022

I have been cutting my hair there for the last 4 years. Maria and the other hairstylists are great and very friendly. The location is always clean, well maintained and very convenient at downtown San Mateo.
