Great Clips, Atwater CA

We usually have a very good experience here and they have been cutting my son’s hair since he was a baby. The manager is out on maternity leave and today the new stylist who cut his hair was argumentative about what I wanted. (I requested scissor cut all over and clippers on the back) but she started using clippers all over. When I said something because I was concerned, instead of easing my concerns or changing to the scissors, she became defensive.

I arrive at the store to get my hair cut. I give my phone number and she say it will be 45 min. Another woman came in at the same time I did and was told the same thing after 15 minutes the other woman was taken. As I sat with the other guests I watches as every other person was helped even others who came in after me. After one hours had passed and two of the employees checked there list looked at me and refused to take me or even say we'll be right with you. It became very clear that I was the wrong race to be help by anyone. I finally got the hint and had to leave. I will never come here again or recommend this place.

I don't have fancy hair, this place suits my needs just fine. I adore my stylist, Danielle. I get a great bob cut and a fun gab session at a very reasonable price. I've been going here for about a year and a half I think, and I'll keep going, no reason to stop!

A received a great haircut the young man even used the thinning sheers as I call it and my hair laid down as it should and both sides were even

Update: 8/1/23 AMAZING work on my son's hair who was growing out his hair but decided to clean it up a bit. He has the undercut with the long on top for his man bun. Thanks Dani! Looks great and I am sure when he goes to cheer he will be happier that it is shorter underneath.:)

Love this place, great haircuts and work well with kids on spectrum

Im writing this as I wait for my moms haircut to be fixed…. Lupe gave my mom a huge chop when she asked for just a short trim. She left the length and density very uneven. We asked another stylist to please fix it up (she did great!) but Lupe would not stop touching my mothers hair when we told her another stylist would finish the haircut. She is VERY rude. She had an attitude since we got here and her skills are very poor. If I come back, I will definitely avoid her and her attitude.

Jenny is an awesome hair stylist.very busy due to high customer flow but she was cheerful, professional, and on point w/ my own requests
