Great Park Balloon Ride reviews
12Been there 4 times. Never let on the balloon even once. Every time they claim to have weather warnings even when the weather is perfect.
The balloon is free. But you have to get the tickets early You could call To see if they're open.
I can't believe that the balloon was free!
We waited 45 minutes but didn't have to wait in line. We browsed around the park.
It was so high, and the scenery was fantastic.
Not too big a fan of the "save your spot in line" policy! People who are willing to stand in the cold should have priority, at least standby for all those whom im sure dont come back.unless they make you pay in advance.hmmm
All you have to do is go online and fill out a ride safety check application and then you can go ahead to the balloon ride and then it's a short walk the entrance. ENJOY
The great balloon park? More like the 1 balloon park, still a cool park though just sucks there's only one balloon you could ride
For many, the first big balloon flight and a whole new perspective to seeing Orange County. It was really cool and all for free.
Worth the wait! We had to wait for 2 hrs. But i cant complain. It was free and it was beautiful.
This was very disappointing. We went Saturday AND Sunday. We were in line by 6: 40 each day AND did the waiver in the afternoon. When we got checked in we were told it would be between a 40 and 50 minute wait. HOW CAN THERE BE 30-40 PEOPLE AHEAD IF US WHEN CHECK IN ISN’T SUPPOSED TO START UNTIL 6: 30? This group of KIDS do not work that fast. They took a few groups up and what I saw was mostly teenagers. They wouldn’t need a waiver #1 and could it be the KID Staff were only letting their friends on? At 8 o’clock we got a text message that the ride was closed due to weather. The weather was no different at 8 then at 7. Could it be that the KID staff had a party to go to and know no one will say anything if they just close and say it’s the weather? IT LOOKS VERY SUSPICIOUS. If your schedule is really 7 to 8 at night and not 7 to 10, change your hours to reflect that. It happened both nights and the weather was the same each night
What an EXPERIENCE! I went during fall season on October, when they decorate it as a pumpkin. And to tell you it was a thrilling ride would be an understatement, the guide said it takes about a minute to reach the peak, but it feels like it keeps going up and up and never stops, but once you reach the top you are faced with an amazing view of the city. If you haven't been then I suggest you visit, especially when it's dark out.
We were there Oct 1 and 2. Both nights they canceled due to weather. The first night was understandable since clouds moved in. The 2nd night they started and sent it up several times but then notified us after waiting again 1 1/2 hrs it was canceled due to weather. There was no change in the weather. In that case, how could they even go up the times they did? In my opinion it is either safe or isn't. I'm very very very disappointed. We are from out of state and wanted to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday with a balloon ride. Realistically it appeared the employees just wanted off.
