Great Wall Szechuan and Mandarin Cuisine reviews
20Food was fabulous with generous portions, and the waitress was very sweet! Here on vacation from Philadelphia. Definitely will come back the next trip to Monterey.
Do not recommend, I told Jason I had a food allergy, they put soy sauce on my shrimp washed it off with water according to him they served it to me and told me after I ate my meal. I got extremely ill will never come back.
Super service, family atmosphere, yummy food. Weird to find as there's no parking on the street in front, but there is a parking lot just beyond the restaurant.
It was okay. Nothing to write home about.very basic, cheaply made food. That's really over priced. Very disappointed with the dim sum. Freezer to steamer. Not sure what it was filled with. Was supposed to be bbq pork. But seemed like red jelly & fruit. The General Chicken was WAY over cooked. The fried rice is made with frozen vegetable, would have been so much better if it was fresh, very, very greasy. For a meal this size and quality you'd expect to pay under 20, but it was over 40. Not a fan...
When you're on a road trip, bathrooms matter! There's was impeccable!
The food was good. Shared General Tsao chicken, chicken chow mean and one order of rice. Portions were so large we had enough to take home.
Service was good.
I was thouroughly dissapointed with this place. Went as a party of 3. Waited 30 mims to be seated when there was sufficient tables open. Apps were meh. Got the combo app platter and they only mentioned they didnt have bbq after we recieved plate. Entree plates were tiny for what we paid for em ($15 per). Only good side was the beer was cold and they came with cold mugs.
Typical Chinese restaurant with the same dishes you find at every Chinese restaurant. Average in every way. You know what you’re getting.
Went here with my parents and ordered Beef Mongolian, combo Chow Mein, and fried Calamari. Beef Mongolian was hands down delicious! Chow Mein could have used a bit more flavor and I prefer slightly thinner noodles. The Calamari skin could have been removed. Every time we bit into it, it would peel and feel like dental floss. Besides that issue, it was tasty.
Very clean and inviting. Food is top notch! Had the Mongolian beef (one of the best I've had) with steamed rice. Very casual and the wait staff is great.
Two vegans in heaven is exactly what this place was. The staff was a vegetarian and knew all the ways to make our meal unforgettable. We got the eggplant, general tsaos tofu, and chow mein! Absolutely recommend.
Today is my 58th birthday. I have never ever ever given a bad review. This was absolutely ridiculous. Our food was completely wrong, took forever and was horrible. Foe 50$$$$$. They only took cash. This place is horrible and a total rip off!
We're on vacation and we wanted delivery We ordered combo A and combo B. The rice is ok the general chicken tasted like reheated old chicken. The chicken chowmein was below average at best and the mongolian beef was alright. But the soups were absolutely awful. They had some kind of oil in it. The hot and sour soup tasted like oil. There was so much oil you could see a layer of it floating on the top. Very disappointed I cannot recommend it.
Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant ever. The owners are so sweet and the food is the best ever and everything is really fresh
Ordered takeout for dinner last night and I have to say, This place is a hidden Gem.
Food was incredibly delicious, loved the shrimp chow mein, shrimp were tasty and well seasoned unlike other spots. Not a big fan of orange chicken but after having some here, definitely will re order (:
Honey Walnut Prawns were crunchy and 10 out of 10. Although a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth the price, quality over quantity I’d say. One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, would highly recommend. Don’t usually leave reviews but this place had me in love w their tasty dishes, no complaints. Can’t wait to visit this place again!
My kids only ask for Great Wall when we offer takeout for dinner. Their tofu dishes are sooooo good.
My husband and I ordered the shrimp chow mein, beef chow mein, egg rolls and jumbo fried shrimp from this place and we're sorely disappointed. First off, when I walked in to pick up my order, the man who helped me was rude and gave me attitude when I asked for chop sticks and napkins. Something that I would assume he is used to having requested! When it came to the quality of the food, it was mostly flavorless, the egg rolls were super greasy, the prawns were over breaded, flavorless, and greasy as well, and the chow mein was mediocre at best.
Would definitely recommend eating here. Great mood, yummy dishes, excellent customer service. Kudos.
My nephew Amir Rahmati treated my family with Chinese food from Great Wall. Ohh man it was so good. I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant.
We're in town & got takeout from Great Wall. Great experience. 5 min turnaround from putting in order to getting it. Had the veggie egg rolls, and garlic chicken (they added broccoli at our request) and it was a great meal! Glad we came here.
Excellent food. Ready very quickly. Garlic chicken was tasty. Nice big chunks if chicken breast meat in both the chow main and Garlic chicken. Potstickers were very good. Fair pricing.
