Great White, West Hollywood CA

Though I love the ambience and the vibe at GW (been there a dozen times), the staff at this location has become ultra rude— they are not willing to do anything and are always on the edge! The first time there was a bug in our breakfast burrito and when we told the hostess, she didn’t apologize once and instead said that it can happen sometimes because their produce comes from a farm. Like what? !?

The second time our burrito had scallions that were overly bitter which when told to the manager, she asked me if we were sick (we ordered 3 burritos) because apparently scallions taste bitter to sick people Honestly as a doctor myself, that comment sent me! Then, to make things worse, they double charged us for the switched out burritos (luckily I checked and called out the waiter on that)! Since bad service can really ruin your experience, I disliked all THREE times I have been to this location. They know they have a good customer base (mostly from the larchmont/santa monica locations), so they are willing to do the bare minimum! Unless you are Justin Bieber or a celebrity going to this location, you will not be respected!

Personally, I highly suggest going to the other locations if you want a wholesome experience!

Overall a low experience and extremely non-accommodating business model. This place seems to strive / execute more on vibe than actually hospitality and services. No minor mods, can’t get ingredients on the side as “it’s not presentable on a plate”. My own opinion, places that are “cool” need to remember that they are still in the hospitality industry. Aesthetics and vibe can be short lived.

Great joint to have a casual brunch or lunch. The place gets packed and the wait can be long since some patrons lounge around and even play backgammon for a while. They are famous for the breakfast burritos. They are not that big but very flavorful. I ordered their falafel warp. The falafel was squished in the grilled warp. I felt that I keel that the falafel was “wet” but at the same time I couldn’t really distinguish the taste of all the great ingredients in it. The green tahini sauce that came with it was great. Wife had the garbanzo scramble that she loved. And she wants to now make it at home. She is giving this place a 5 star but I can’t. I would give it 4.5 star. The annoying part about f the experience was the number of flies that would not let us eat in peace.

Always consistently good food, probably my favourite brunch spot in LA highly recommended!

Everything we ordered, drinks included, were delicious! It’s a little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. Awesome service and flavors. While everything was honestly really good, I would especially recommend the shrimp pasta and chicken kabob

The host is irresponsible. We asked to switch table 40 min ago as the table was too cold.and after three group have changed the seats, we asked her what about us. And she just forgot. No compensation was made.

I am surprised that this restaurant only has a 4.4 average. I found the food to be delicious and creative. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. And the setting just idyllic. We seriously thought about going back for another meal during our short visit but ran out of time. We will be sure to be back on our next trip to WeHo.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday around 10 am. Short wait. Very welcoming and helpful staff. The salmon messe was amazing. The breakfast burrito not good.

I had heard a ton about great white so was excited to try it. Walking in it's beautifully decorated and just a very nice vibe with a large open air patio.

Our server was friendly and prompt but was kind of short when we asked about adding tomatoes to a wrap as if that is an unreasonable request. After some back and forth he said he would ask the kitchen but said he didn't think it was possible. Spoiler alert, it was not which seems weird to me. This isn't a Michelin star restaurant, you can add tomato to your falafel wrap.

I shared the crispy chicken sandwich and breakfast burrito with a friend. The crispy chicken sandwich was not really crispy but tasted fine. The fries were nothing to write home about. The breakfast burrito was exceptionally good. Don't skip the hot sauce they serve with it but ask for extra because they give an inefficient amount.

They charge $8 for an Arnold Palmer which would be less offensive if refills were free but they were not. Overall for the amount of money spent there are better options in the area.

Most delightful and delicious breakfast experience! The food was amazing, service was outstanding and very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

A few of my colleagues and I went to this very aesthetically pleasing restaurant for lunch and were very surprised by the generosity of the staff, as well as the swiftness at which they attended to us. We split the mushroom fries which were honestly my favorite. They were very subtle and light with a nice side sauce that gave the meal a nice zing. Additionally, the crispy brussels were phenomenal. It was not bitter at all and had such a sweet richness to it. As for my meal, I stuck with the tremendous burger which was cooked to perfection. Flavors were on point! I would definitely recommend this place if you have not been already.

Kind of pricey but super cute place. Nice ambiance. Good service. Food was delicious, fresh and unique.

VEGAN OPTIONS A-PLENTY

This is a gorgeous brunch spot on Melrose in LA. The food was delicious, the service was kind and attentive, and ambiance was a vibe.

I have the vegan scramble and added a slice of seared salmon for $12. This restaurant is on the pricey side, definitely worth it for the service and food. Even the water costs money if you don’t ask for tap. We “ordered” water and they gave us a small bottle of it then we saw on the menu that it was $5 for this tiny bottle. The table next to us had a plain water carafe so we asked if the next bottle could be tap, cause… free?

Our server was attentive and nice! She had perfect timing for ordering all the food. The food came at a good timing. It was a 45 minute wait on a Saturday which is pretty typical for brunch in LA. They do not take reservations for brunch.

There were many vegan options. I added salmon to my chickpea scramble cause I thought it wouldn’t be enough… I was wrong. The portion was very filling and I wasn’t able to finish it. The salmon was bomb, even though it had skin on it. I’m not a fan of the skin.

Overall great stay! I had a great time with my friends. Their food was good as well!

On a beautiful 80 degree day in LA, the only place to go is Great White. You’re lucky if you’re greeted by the amazing Laura and fantastic Suz! Indoor seating? No problem? ! It is open air and you’ll enjoy both the view and the shade. It’s a happening place and service is excellent (thanks Tennessee and Texas - the banana bread recommendation was perfect). The Brussel sprouts were super, the chicken kebab and pita were fantastic and that banana bread is no joke! Refills were prompt. Service was engaging. It’s a super lunch spot. The breakfast menu is also exceptional and you may be craving some eggs at 2 pm… go for it! I’m a vibe guy… and Great White has an immaculate vibe. I think that’s what the cool kids say. Seriously - go grab a meal at Great White and say hi to Laura and Suz. You may just make two new best buds. They are literally the best greeters and front of house team members I’ve met in SoCal. Huge fan of these stars and this special spot!

I really enjoyed this simple meal. I just had a sandie and fries, very well seasoned fries, at that. But I ended up spending about $35 with tip. And I literally just got that. For the price, I would just go to Destroyer.

This is a wonderful experience.
It’s food creative well cooked without being expensive.
Happy congeal atmosphere and clientele.
Highly recommend this west Los Angeles restaurant.
