Historic building that is currently under renovation. Parking is difficult as you have to park in another hotel's parking lot and walk over. Rooms are very basic. The rate is inflated for what you get. The Air Conditoner was not working. The only lighting in the room was florescent overhead lighting which made the room uncomfortably bright. The location was great and staff was nice. Hopefully after renovation it will be a nice place. Currently this is way overpriced for what you get.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the coffee was amazing, and the location was perfect for our event. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Long Beach.

It’s got lots of charm, great location, and nice staff. Wish we knew of the remodel prior to booking. Not a fan of surprises like the extra charges for deposits. It’s at least $150 plus $25 for each day.

The rooms were small, but they were modern and very comfortable. The location is great—it's right near the convention center, so it was easy to find. Plus, I loved that there was no elevator.

Overall, there was nothing to the hotel. I'm not sure why they call themselves a hotel. Really seemed like a motel. My experience here was not great. I accidentally left my AirPods at the hotel. I was already at the airport and they recommended me to come back and pick them up. With my flight about to leave, I could not do that. After days of contacting them about the AirPods. They said they could ship them out for $65. I'm not sure other hotels do charges like that, but $65 is ridiculous to mail out for a pair of AirPods. They made such an easy connivance to something super complicated and stressful. For that reason, I will not recommend staying here. With a hotel that is going threw reconstruction they should care about their customer service rather than making extra cash. The rooms are also super small with beds from the 70s. You are given an actual metal key rather than a card scanner. You feel very insecure sleeping in these rooms. Again, focus on your customer service over profiting.

Was there one night.
Clean, courteous staffs.

Very small bath room & bed room, no lobby.
(I feel this hotel is for sleeping only).

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending the Grand Prix in Long Beach. Like all other hotels in the area, all of the rooms were over priced. We paid $360 a night at this hotel which was highly overpriced. Although the room was small, it was clean, the air conditioner didn’t work and that’s because the city hasn’t allowed them to use them yet. I knew that prior to coming as I read the reviews. I also read that they give you a simple house key, and there were no deadbolts on the door. I purchased a lock from Amazon prior to my arrival so that I could sleep at night without freaking out that someone was going to walk in my room. The bathroom has the mirror above the toilet, which was very odd and difficult to do my make up or put my contacts in. I had to straddle it and it was very awkward. There’s no place to hang your bath towels in the bathroom and they don’t have any type of dresser to store your clothes. At the end of a long day I wanted to take a bath, I got into the tub, but then realize there’s no spout for the tub water. It’s only a shower, even though there’s a tub there. Bottom line …. It was close to the race track and the staff were very nice.

From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a different world. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for somewhere comfortable and nice that's not too expensive.

CAUTION! CAUTION!

Undergoing renovations at a slow pace based on comments but disappointed in the fact I forgot my airpods there and they confirmed they were there along with FINDMY locator. Sadly the staff is more concerned about making money as they charged me $50 for them to ship them to me. AirPods are very small and first class shipping wouldn’t even be that price. Imagine if you forgot a laptop.

For a hotel with 3-4 stars they shouldn’t try and take shortcuts when it comes to customer service. Staff needs to realign their service expectations because the amenities nor room is doing that. Their best bet is on relying on providing customer service not ridiculous fees for a quick buck.

We had booked a deluxe queen room and were told that, to them (the hotel), it means economy. It was the most basic room I have ever stayed in. It was clean, that wasn't a problem. Furniture wise, it had a bed, one bedside table/nightstand, one chair and a small table in the corner. That's it. The bathroom was functional but the towels were so small and thin that it was like trying to dry myself on a face cloth. I won't be making a return visit.
