I apply at an apartment complex perfect unit in my work location and provided all needed documents only issue was my work verify employment via fax and company refused to fax my employer so now I'm out 3 screenings and a holding deposit and the unit has been rented and prices went up and I lost the 6 weeks free promotion because the manager on site didn't fax my employer to obtain information they would have needed. This is incredible and I have NEVER EVER EVER DEALT WITH SUCH AN ISSUE RENTING ANY WHERE IM MY LIFE. I have constantly reached out to property and they are always "too busy" and refuse to explain things or help me even if I make an appointment. I hired a CPA to verify employment and they telling my CPA they don't know what they need to verify employment and that's not their department and refuse to guide who it does concern. Shame.

GreyStar took over and immediately said we could have BBQ on our patio. Rent went up $287. They also took away the free cleaning you could get when you renew your lease. I have been here 11yrs and because of them I will not be here next year.

I live at 13801 Paramount Blvd, Paramount, Ca.at The Enclave and we are left with no hot water in the midst of the winter season for almost a week now. If anything is in need of urgent repairs and the incident happens on a Sunday, the management team would wait until the next business day to do the necessary repairs. There's currently 3 buildings with no hot water and the management team in this apartment complex are the worst creatures this earth has ever made. Ceilings are leaking during rainy season. The manager Michelle will not return phone calls and is not available in the office during major breakdowns and outages. I will report this apartment building and the management team to the housing authority because they are supposed to provide running water (hot and cold) by rental state laws

I recently had 2 separate incidents where strangers had key to let themselves into my apartment. They were looking for the model apartment but obviously at the wrong address. Why would property managers allow strangers to roam around unescorted? All non-residents should be escorted by a property manager at least to the model door, whether manager goes inside or not.but never unescorted or unmonitored. Covid19 restrictions have been lifted over 1 year so there's no reason why anyone would be letting themselves into any property. The 2nd person actually gained entry and this could have been disastrous for both parties. Other residents complained of the same incidents occurring and this policy must change immediately. I currently reside at Viano Riverwalk community and very concerned about my safety.

They have hired the most disgusting low class group of individuals to run an apart complex I’ve literally ever seen! You guys need a total overhaul on the hiring at THEA in LA your employees are garbage they threaten and argue with their tenants!

It has been roughly 4 months I was asked to issue a roughly 2k holding deposit for an application. I did not wind up moving my daughter into her apartment and they still have yet to reimburse me my money! No one answers calls nor responds to voicemails at this establishment. I want my money back! This is a scam to rip hard working citizens off! Do not apply to these apartments!

This company is absolutely terrible and a monopoly that buys the market up then increases and say, “that’s just what the going rate is in the market”. They don’t maintain their properties nor do they response to you. Corporate/customer service does not exist. They just forward your voicemail to your property’s manager. Absolutely stupid. Thats why I am calling you, to not talk to them because they aren’t responding or doing their job. My apartment has flooded three times with leaks. I am in the restoration industry and they don’t follow IICRC guidelines or regulations at all. Dont even move into a property they manage, it’s a joke and they will have no problems increasing your rent while the place falls apart. I can’t wait for corporate to respond to this review with a number to an answering machine that just forwards the message to my current property to which nobody will ever respond. The sad part is even if you find a different property they don’t own to move to they will probably buy that one too because again they are a monopoly that you can’t even get a hold of.

Not a good company to represent. After decades of cancelled vacations, long days and on site weekends, what is the response. Zero upper management accountability and they will blame everything on the subordinate. Just like being in scientology. #Lame

Amazing company to work for. I have been blessed to always have wonderful leaders, great opportunity for growth and they have stepped up this year with additional benefits that weren't offered before.

I use to rent from these people at The Artisans in Laguna Beach, CA. The most awful group of people who could care less about the well being of either their tenants or employes. It is most likely why every employee has the worst attitudes. We finally decided to get out of dodge. I currently live at Barcelona Resort Apartments. We just gave our 30 day notice and found out Greystar is taking over. Wow! Out of here just in time. They are the so horrible that the current employes that work here have lost all their seniority, some here for over 16 years. They lost their retirements and pensions, etc etc. They had to start out as brand new employees. Starting from scratch. Now if that is not a good enough example of the type of company they are, I don't know what to say other than good luck if you rent one of their properties. I'd run away no matter what they have to offer.

Was inquiring about renting an apartment at a community they manage. Finally got someone on the phone and the person seemed genuinely not interested in helping. Found out that though they have an inquiry form on the website they don't use it to respond. So if the sales teams seems that unmotivated to lease what is the rest of the management team like.

Was an Employee with Greystar. I will say they do not care about their employees, as much as they do not care to have at the most least a proper working phone number to the nearest corporate office for their residents'. Welcome to Corporate America where they cover themselves with such "core values".

By far the worst company I have dealt with throughout my 20 years of apartment leasing. Do not rent from Greystar. It is absolute hell.
