We stopped by to purchase some wine from the Napa Valley’s historic and legendary winemaker Mike Grgich. The stuff was friendly and even offered us some wine tasting at no expense. Highly recommended.

This review is about a very awful bad experience we encountered with our host Toni. We choose grgich winery because this is one of the wineries that honors military members. We came here about 2 years ago and we had a great experience, and that's when I also learned about there two complimentary tastings for military members. Before coming here again, I called and emailed reservation specialist to confirm the complimentary tastings and they responded that they still honor it and they confirmed us a reservation for two tastings. When we arrived at the winery, we told the front desk that we are military members and we were offered two complimentary tasting but Toni took advantage of us and she still charged us for one tasting. She adamantly insisted that we still have to pay for one tasting. I explained to her that we get two military tastings per military ID and that we also have two military ID's. Which should be covered because we only had two tasting during this visit. But she doesn't want to listen, she was very rude, unprofessional and very confrontational that we had to pay. She said she's been working there for 13 years and that's the policy she enforced. Clearly she doesn't understand the policy of the winery even though she's been working there for a long time. She made us feel like that we are just here for free tasting and doesn't want to pay but we already been here before and had bought wine. We paid and left disappointed. Overall, we felt ashamed & humiliated by her. During our tasting, we felt not welcome by this host. I emailed grgich reservation specialist, Kimberly responded and I told her what happen.she is very nice and apologized. She confirmed that I am correct with two complimentary tasting for each military ID member that Toni should have not charge us. She offered a credit back but she couldn't find the order number or receipt. Toni didn't give us a receipt, but I sent her a copy of the credit card charges. I hope they will give us our credit or refund. Me & my family are not comfortable going back there anymore. We just felt traumatized. I hope the management will pay attention to this reviews to re-train their staff because what Toni did to us very humiliating and unacceptable. Other than that, the winery is great and beautiful.

Sherisse welcomed us here today and was a fabulous introduction to the area. We stopped in at the last minute. She welcomed us with a grateful and kind spirit and recommended amazing wines. So very grateful!

WILL NEVER RETURN! Yesterday my wife and her Aunt went to the winery for a Tasting. My wife’s Aunt has been a Yountville Chamber member for years and we made them aware of this upon our arrival. The wines were not to any of our liking, the servers were dressed like very used car salesmen, not very engaging and seemed to rush through the process. Upon checking out we were told that the agreement they had made with the Chamber would not be accepted, which was complementary tasting for four, instead we had to pay for two of the tasting. After much conversation we were charged over charged for the tasting and the wine I bought, two bottles of the Fume’ Blanc which we did like. Our experience from the last time we visited was remarkably disappointing!

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. I've been to some of the other wineries in Napa Valley, but this one is special. Not only do they create some of the most complex wine I've ever tasted, but their attention to detail at every stage in the winemaking process embodies their love of the craft. If you decide to visit Napa wine country. This is a must visit.

A Toast to Grgich: Unforgettable Wines and Service

I must mention that Grgich is among our favorite winemakers. Our first visit was five years ago, and we felt compelled to return for a private tour. The history and the people behind this winery are truly inspiring. Our guide was Miles, who was so committed that he was working on his birthday – a testament to their dedication. The wine tasting and food pairing, orchestrated by the chef, were exceptional. Naturally, we placed an order as new members of the Grgich Club. We're looking forward to our next visit. See you then!

We got a warm welcome by Sherisse, she was not only informative but also engaging, she was delightful, she brought the history and traditions to life.we got to taste crisp whites and delightful reds so well crafted. It was a delight to enjoy the tadting outside on the terrace. It was a beautiful summer day, and my birthday.
Sherisse made it all so special.

Myself and friends stopped in and the winery was beautiful, Mel was our server and she was very knowledgeable about each wine. We tried the flight and each wine was presented with full background of age and disgorge process. I highly recommend trying this vineyard!

We went to Mike Grgich's 100th birthday party at the winery. It was a little warm (102°) but well worth it.

We are members so it would be biased to review but we love it! James is the person to deal with. He has taken care of us for the last 3 years! Amazing service and great wines!

Had an incredible time at Grgich. Even though the winery was busy we felt like we were the only ones there.

Our time there was amplified because of Sharisse. She absolutely made our experience, us and our doggos, one of a kind. If you head this way—and you should—ask for Sharisse.

A group of 4 and 1/2 of us came to Grgich for the first time in March and had the best time! We had our tasting experience with Myles. I am a new mom and had our baby with us (hence the 1/2 haha) Myles didn’t bat an eye and made our group feel so comfortable. He even checked in on me specifically a few times! While doing our tasting, we noticed another couple with their dog, so this place is great for fur parents as well!

Now the important stuff. The wine itself was our favorite of the weekend. In fact we loved it so much we became members. Can’t wait to be back!

We stopped here for a tasting as part of our Napa Valley Wine Train tour had a great experience. Our guide was Toni and she was very knowledgeable about the estate, it’s history and viticulture in general. We really enjoyed her humor and commentary during the tasting.

Absolutely amazing experience, super friendly people. We did not have an appointment but when we asked Sherisse let us taste whatever wines we wanted. Very friendly with a personal touch. The wine taste amazing. Would highly recommend visiting this estate and trying their wines!

Was there a recently and had a great time. Excellent wines, a comfortable tasting room (with food options) and great service. Special thanks to Frank who was extremely accommodating and really helped ensure that we had a pleasant visit.

Wonderful wine tasting experience. We did not know we needed a reservation, but no worries with Sherisse. She welcomed us with open armes and uncorked our love for their wine.
