Nice people here. Lot is a bit muddy, but all CA is right now. Easy back in. Got in dock right away. Scale in empty on your way in. The only confusion was the sign said stay in truck and use ch 10 for guard shack, the lady gave me a thumbs up, so I drove around to check in. You are supposed to get out and get the weight on paper to take to check in. Oops, the nice lady at check in called and got the info. Bathroom and driver lounge with vending machines inside.
No where to park while waiting to be loaded. Takes extremely long to be loaded. Tight space not meant for trucks. Never come here unless you feel like burning your clock.
Showed up early. Door available right away, quickly loaded, paperwork ready few minutes later. Scale available on the site. Drive axel over limit. Because of that lost one hour. Second time their scale showed 33 940 pounds, Cat Scale was 200 pounds less. Nice people.
It is more than clear that it is a super busy company, BUT it is also evident that they have operational problems, because you have to make an appointment, keep it, but when you arrive, it takes more than 6 hours to load it. At least this is my experience, I've been here three times. The first one was around 9: 30 pm and they loaded me in 20 minutes. The second lasted 6 hours and today the third, Saturday, when I arrived at 1: 20 pm there were 15 trucks waiting, it's 7 pm and they haven't loaded me yet. THIS ONLY SHOWS it is a serious operational problem, lack of personnel and zero respect for the life of the trucker, plus we have problems with the DOT hrs. We loses a whole day here, when others enjoy their families, especially if it is the weekend. Of course, the more overtime they work, the more they earn, and we the truck drivers?
