Grocery Outlet reviews
16It's always a welcome surprise when I go to GO. You never know what new item they'll have at a great price!
Grocery outlet usually has great prices, and sometimes questionable, and sometimes ridiculous quality. Check out this Monteli frozen pizza I bought here. Box was sealed. Half the pizza missing, plastic opened, and they threw in a couple moldy pieces of bread (assuming to meet weight requirement). You win some, you lose some. Maybe avoid the Monteli Pizzas.
Deals on newly introduced and overstocked items. Fair and competitive meat and poultry prices.
Honestly, I'm not coming back here. It's super gross. Everything is super packed and stacked on top of each other, boxes and other unshelved items are in the middle of the aisles and stuff that's been expired months ago is literally still sitting there like those buffalo chicken chips and collagen water. Absolutely disgusting.
They have a lot of cool stuff here. I shop here thru Instacart but the app raises the prices. Nice customer service
I love this place because I save money, and they play the best music while you're shopping
Smaller location but decent variety, reasonably clean and standard value prices. Limited parking but generally available. As always check the dates to be safe, especially for the promotional low price items.
Heavy set white manager very very rude. Complains about other customers to customers out loud.
This particular store is smaller than the one on Hesperian. They have a tendency to keep items on the shelf that are already expired. Also they carry food items that are genetically modified. Read the labels! A plus they carry items other grocery stores don't carry. A minus certain items may only be available for a week so stock up.
I find it odd that a grocery store would have every kind of crackers except for saltine crackers on their shelves. And this goes for all store locations. Otherwise maybe 3 stars
Great owner! She hires very nice people. She stocks some of the best food items and the fruit and vegetables are always fresh. The prices are much better than the major chain markets. I used to shop at Lucky on Fairmont Drive but their prices and selection have never been good.
Everything was fine they rearranged the store. My only concern is that they had the turnip greens and the collards outside going limp. It was not pleasing to the eye.
Pretty decent grocery outlet hidden in a busy San Leandro area. Large selection despite the small size, i always find something special to try out. Value is unbeatable and the quality is pretty awesome. Pretty much my goto grocery store if I’m on a strict budget
This is the inflation deflation station. For the most part, even as prices go up everywhere else, Grocery Outlet remains the same for most items. And they were already at bargain prices before the sharp increase in inflation. In fact, they're now cheaper than Dollar Tree for the same or similar items (as many items are still at 99 cents). Just check the expiration dates. Usually, if you don't wait several months to consume the food, you'll be just fine. Can goods are usually close to those found elsewhere. Dry breakfast foods are the ones to look out for the most. Now, selection does vary from time to time, and some foods they don't carry. With that said, you can find some amazing deals here. Especially when you shop in tandem with other stores to make ends meet. They truly remain, THE bargain market!
Very disrespectful. One older woman cashier gives one paper bag regardless of how heavy your items are. She acts like the bags come out of her pocket. Doesn’t care if they break.
It's like a treasure hunt! You have the basics, bread, butter, meat, cheese, veggies, but in between the shelves and on top of the freezer, you can find unusual items to try at reasonable prices, almond flour, mushroom powder, teas, cauliflower rice, and ice creams. I also love the plants! They don't care for them very well, but when they come in, there can be a nice variety. Seeds and cards also. A bit of everything! Not as fancy as Safeway.
