Groundswell Brew Tasting Room (San Diego) reviews
10Great local brewery! You can't beat the small local place. And now they have a great patio plus now brewing in Grantville again
Christina made our night! Visiting from out of state and she made us feel very welcome. Knowledgeable about the beers and so friendly! A great spot.
Hands down my favorite place to hang out and have a few beers. Thier pizza slices are legit as well. I enjoyed the rotating beer menu and lamented some of the beers that fell out of rotation. It's a great place to bring a group to hang out and play games or chat, or to come alone and listen to the great selection of music or talk with the great personalities behind the bar.
Christina is the best! I was having a lousy day at work but after coming here, she definitely cheered me up. I am so thankful there’s still compassionate bartenders out there especially here at Groundswell. The beer was great and the pizza was amazing. I will definitely be back.
Hours say they are open until 10pm. Showed up at 9: 10. Lights on, doors open, music playing, 15-ish people, everyone drinking, some smoking by door.was thrilled to return to one of my favorite spots. I was told by someone drinking at the bar that Groundswell was closed for a private party. Maybe have a sign, update your hours or do anything. You've lost me as a customer forever. I used to visit this location three times a week, conservatively. There are other places with the same quality or better beer who will most likely be open when they say they're open. I was looking forward to becoming a regular again. I will give my regular and routine business elsewhere.
Love this place. Our bartender Christian is awesome and the thin slice pizza are delicious. Keep up the great work with the beer.
I came with a group to play some board games on a Saturday noon and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The place is a perfect setup for beers and board games!
This was our local brewery back when we lived in the neighborhood in 2015. We absolutely loved the vibe back then and we love it now. Came back after three years away and it was the same brewery with great beer and great staff. Carolyn took care of us and we are so glad to see the place going strong through the pandemic.
Cool vibes, nice place. Limited selection of beers but definitely the favorite ones.
I go there on weekly basis.
Least appealing brewery experience we’ve had in a dozen + breweries in the SD / Oceanside area.
Heavy ‘regulars’ vibe that was somewhat off-putting.
Dog-friendly but 2 of the 4 dogs that were in there were mean / ill-tempered. Unsat.
Place has a dingy old smell & look about it. The couch seating surfaces are flat disgusting.
A couple of the beers were ok but between the gross seating, creeper-like vibe of some of the regulars, & customers allowed to have non-socialized dogs we’ll pass on a 2nd try here. Way too many other choices in the SD area for craft beer.
