Guajome Regional Park reviews
22Very clean and pretty park. Has a nice duck pone which you can fish in. Lots of trails for walking, riding horses or bikes. Nice play grounds, bathrooms and picnic areas with plenty of shade.
We had an an awesome time kids played in the playground watched the ducks and they even have a camping ground, clean restroom. 3 dls parking fee but worth it.
We have been so extremely happy with this beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful slice of heaven in beautiful Oceanside! The staff and the campgrounds itself are wonderful! Great bathroom facilities and the staff has been so helpful & kind.
Nice place, quiet, open spaces for tents, but still plenty of shade to be found. Bathrooms are clean, showers are cheap, if you forget your quarters the ranger station has some.
Campsites were tiny. Family cabin is decent, but a bit overpriced. Nice appliances in cabin. Nice outdoor park and lake. Volleyball & basketball court. Park rangers are very friendly & helpful. Be sure to bring repellent for the loads of mosquitoes! Lots of ants too! Would give higher rating if the campsites weren't so small and campers had a bit more freedom.
We reserved an overnight spot for our RV and got a paved spot for the motorhome and a spot for a car, if we had one. The spot also had a picnic table and fire pit, there were playgrounds a small distance from our camp site but the trails through the trees was enough to keep our kids at peace. Walking a little also brought us to a lake! Such a beautiful park, will most definitely reserve in advace for longer than one night. Worth it!
The only thing I would see to make this better is if the campground would have full hookups. Right now, there is only water and electric.
Great local park that has a small lake, hiking trails, beach volleyball, horseshoes, pickleball, playground and more. I went camping at the campsites with some local friends and it was great to 'get away' 5 mins from our house. Campsites have hookups for campers and bon fire pits.
Great day use area for just about anything. Lake has a trail around it for walking, running and hiking. There's fishing. Plenty of areas for privacy, picnicking and playgrounds. Ducks and geese. Dog friendly. 3 bucks for a day away from the city. But just a close drive away.
Its clean and safe. Ducks and geese can be very hungry if you feed them bread just beware. There's also Squirrels so just use common sense. It's well maintain and the trails are fun to walk through. Just take a walk and feel the nature around you. Bike trails are shared by walkers.
Alot of fun trails. Plenty of wildlife to explore. Very nice area for walking running or off road biking.
One of my favorite places to walk/hike and explore. Miles of trails and walks and hikes for every level of stamina.
Beautiful trails to walk or hike on. Also great for biking:) we actually took fall photos here! Great backround and scenery. Also a pond with ducks
This park is amazing, you can camp or just come to hike. Many different trails and theres even a mobile app that can help you with different trails. Even playground!
I grew up walking these trails and having birthday parties here. Now I live out of state and I find it's still a lovely park to go to with the kids in the family. I came here with my grandma, cousins, and a family dog. The playground is nicely shaded for the kids and the terrain was fine for my grandma. And the pup had plenty of space to run around and play with the kids (on-leash).
This place has been wonderful! ! For many years this place has provided and hosted numerous birthday parties, family gatherings, weekend duck feedings, nature walks, even a dearly beloveds memorial service. The playground is totally up to date and the kids of all ages love it. It's beautiful to camp here too with tents.kids enjoy it every once in awhile for a staycation
Big park, great for hiking in a natural preserve. There's a lake, but not for swimming or water sports.sorry.
No brochures available and it was my first time there. I managed to walk some trails but would have been better if I had a brochure.
This park is nice. It is kept up very well. It's clean and trimmed and the restrooms were spotless. I watched some young ones play on the slides and so forth and they were having a very good time and so are the parents that we're with them. If you don't particularly like crowds Guajome Park is a good place to go (at least this time of year.) I think there was only one or two other cars in the whole park the couple hours I was there.
Very pleasant, family oriented- Allow for 'Day Pass'- $3.00- seemingly all access throughout the park- good hiking trails
