Mexican Restaurant Guisados reviews
29Different from what Im use to but after the Parts Unknown episode I had to come give them a try.ill start off by saying the tortillas are some of the most authentic Ive ever had. I got the carne asada and it was delicious. Reminiscent of grandmas beef stew folded in a sweet corn tortilla. Hibiscus/Jamaica offered here was the perfect beverage to wash it all down.
Their chocolate sea salt was fabulous! My friend enjoyed his half a flavored as well as the mint chocolate. Can hardly wait for the corn flavor, nectarine.as well as the suppa inglesi!
Yuck! Total slop, these are a far cry from authentic tacos. They’re more of a sloppy joe on a tortilla, really low quality weird tasting meat and gummy flavorless tortillas that are ALWAYS soggy, I’d say your better off going to 1984 down the street or even the authentic tacos from the truck are better than these guys. Tamales are dry as hell too, so don’t bother.
Authentic Mexican vibe with great food. The tacos are excellent as is the selection of great mixed drinks.
I had 2 amazing tacos from here. I ordered one as spicy as they get and it was perfect. The handmade tortillas are very good. Definitely worth the price.
Terrific Tacos! Got the advice from the food insider YouTube channel.spouse and i were given the taco sampler so we can get a flavor they all. They had been exceptional delicious! The tortillas were exquisite fresh! The meats have been extraordinary tender and the highly spiced degree became proper for me.can't wait to head again
My first time at this location and still some of the best tacos in town! The sampler platter is perfect to share or to chow down yourself if you’re hungry! They’re definitely not your average tacos and I think that’s what makes them great!
The food here is very good especially the tacos which they are known for here. The only problem is the cost here. They do charge more than any other restaurants in the area
Delicious and affordable corn tortilla street-style tacos. If they have carnitas on the menu, get them.
Came here after walking around Grand Central Market. Tried the sampler (several smaller tacos), and when the staff found out it was our first time they were more than accomodating helping us make our choices. Tried the quesadilla, mole with chicken, steak, and avacado with chicken. All the tacos were delicous, one of the best places I’ve tried in LA would highly recommend.
Friendly staff and freshly roasted tortilla were awesome. Some limes and salsa on food station would be nice
Wow, wow, wooooow its all i have to say. I had the shrimp and tinga chicken tacos woe they had so much flavor. Horchata was delicious. After my b.f had a taste of the mini sampler 6 small tacos it had chicken tinga, chicken mole, pork chop, and other pork ones. I just liked the tinga he said the others were just ok. Definitely will go back again.
Great tacos. Very flavorful good variety. Defenetly worth the wait. Just need to improve on their tortilla making skills, though I appreciate the hand made tortillas I wish they thinner.
Small place, line gets long. The food comes out rather fast. Everything about the food is tasty. The tortillas are fresh made & you can clearly taste it. The chicharron taco was so delicious it made my want to lick my fingers. Also had the chorizo quesadilla which was so full of flavor.
Wow, just wow.
Their guisados are very tasty, authentic mexican recepies.
Not your typical taco, a bit expensive.
Hate the fact you have to pay for parking.
Very delicious tacos. Had the taco sampler and the tamale de elote. All were really yummy with lots of flavors coming through and worth it!
Good food and service but its in downtown LA. Street parking is hard to find and parking at a structure or parking lot can get expensive.
Server was friendly and the tasting plate is a great idea as well as delicious. Tamale was a little dry
These are some of the best tacos I've ever eaten. I am a firm believer when you travel to eat a local chains because they expanded because they were so good and popular. Guisados reaffirmed this belief. It did not disappoint at all. Every one of the five tacos I ate was delicious, but my favorite was the steak picado.
