Guitar Center, Brea CA

Bought a Yamaha piano. We were helped by Will Sievern and we were struck by how kind, patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional he was. He made our experience there memorable. Just great!

I tend to keep a watchful eye on a few items that may pop up used. Low and behold one item in particular did. I called this location the following morning and started chatting with a gentleman named Drew. He was happy to send me a few extra pictures and an hour later my transaction was complete. They easily earned my 5 stars for being efficent and easy to work with.

UPDATE: The item was well received close to 2000 miles away. Well packed, no issues, and performs flawlessly. Considering it is a 188lb cabinet I am impressed by GC and UPS freight. Nonethreless, during the holidays.

Everyone there is super nice. But they just dont have enough informed staff in the keyboard / DAW / studio area. Ive yet to get a question answered with anything deeper than "im not sure. "

Went in for a new drum, they had a pretty decent selection with a wide price range. I'd definitely go back to purchase my next one

Always fun to visit guitar center, this one is no exception. Staff can sometimes be scarce if you need help though.

We just bought our son a clarenit for his music school program, we had a very good deal on this store, and the staff are very helpful.

I took my son. I didn't make any purchases there. It was hot outside and I went inside to cool off. My son bought a high hat stand.

I go there knowing what I want, the staff knows I know and gets it for me if I can't and doesn't bore me with superfluous sales speak. In, out and gone.

The manager here at the Brea store is courteous and even jumped in to help an associate with my return and purchase, then while he was still on the phone (cool factor) he rung up my purchase and gave me a discount on a guitar strap I had bought to go with my guitar. Great conversation and great store selection and service! Awesome job guys!

Been coming here for years and it's always been great. It could use a little more personell, but other than that, its awesome.

The salesmen are not informed about basic features on most instruments. Most of the time I'm educating them.

I loved visiting this location. I went it completely clueless, but the staff here was so helpful. They helped me find all the accessories I needed for a ukelele that I was going to surprise my husband with. They looked up the model to make sure I got the correct size case. Thank you so much for going above and beyond for me!

Extremely helpful employees they went out of their way to help me get a guitar for one of my math students that was within my budget. I highly recommend this specific location!

Always there to help. Sometimes you may have to wait for your turn to be helped but rest assured when you are helped the staff will be knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They will give you the time you need to be comfortable with your purchase.

Instruments are often dirty and broken. Prices are very high, and employees condescending. If not for the fact that there aren't a whole lot of music stores around these days, this place would be tanking even moreso than it already has. It's a dying company and you can feel it when you browse their stores.

The great thing about Guitar Center is they have a 45 day return policy. The bad thing is most the people that work there know very little.

I really liked the wide selection of guitars and stringed instruments. They live up to the "Guitar" in their business name. In our case, we went in for a ukulele for our son. We found a nice, mid-range version for a good price. Our son really enjoys playing it. Their sound proof, wood-lined room was also a nice touch if you want to try out the guitars. Happy buyer!

Another purchase at Guitar Center and another unhelpful sales person in the keyboard department. Have spent almost $5k at Guitar Center in the last 6 months.but its so unlike it used to be. Dont even want to come in here anymore. Yet again.as soon as you dont want to buy their "protection plan". Sales person shuts down. How much pressure the corporate office must be putting on the sales people to sell their "protection plan". Going to start going elsewhere for gear from now on. I gave 2 stars because for once.they had my item in stock.

The music store I've been coming to since high school, they actually have the Squire baritone jazzmaster I've had my eye on for a bit now

Guitar center is super cool and fun to just play around. The people are very nice once you can get them to help you. It takes a long time while they ignore you. One guy told me it was a "cheap guitar" and i just couldn't get one to work right with no frett buzz. Well it was not cheap to me and still it should work right out of the box. Then guy behind the string counter understood and was awesome helping me.
