Guppy House reviews
7Ordered food delivery - beef chow mein. They brought beef stew. How could you have gotten this so wrong? I used to love the old Guppy House.but after this, never coming back here again. Going to spread the word.
The food is very tasty but I recommend that you order it to go because there is no service at the table and you must pick up absolutely everything.
It's a shame that they don't invest in staff because the food is really excellent
Food is nothing like any flavors I have ever tasted and not in a good way. They charge for water and serve in to -go containers. Forks are the cheapest plastic that you could form into a fork.
I cant believe a Guppy Tea House still exists: ') This Guppys doesn't look like the old locations where it was full of plants and had a chill atmosphere. It had more of a homey vibe. I think this location is a mom and pop small business where the mom was taking orders and the pop was cooking in the back. They serve everything in takeout boxes due to lack of staff. The food was still delicious though! I got the popcorn chicken medium and I loved how seasoned it was. Each bite was crispy and packed with flavor. The red milk tea I knew and loved doesnt taste the same as before but I still enjoyed it. I also tried the butter and coconut brick toast and it was my favorite part of the meal! The worker was even nice enough to give me a free scope of ice cream which really elevated the flavors!
Describing this place as serving Taiwanese food is really a big stretch. There are items on the menu that are in the ballpark, but overall the menu is not quite authentic. The noodle soup was under-seasoned, and it was obvious that the soup base was made from powder rather than real broth. I also ordered a flavored bubble tea, and it was not comparable to any other decent boba tea places in the area.
The owner lady was really nice, but unfortunately the food there is lackluster.
Old management is better. Rude lady on the front For dine in, now they put their food in disposable box. And they charge for ice water.
