Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, Oakland CA

The chicken is gross and so is the sides, I took one bite and spit it out.threw everything in the trash and walked out; I will never eat their again, if there was an option for zero stars I would have clicked it.

Hi my name is Anthony J. Lawson. I work at Gus's Worl Famous Fried Chicken in Oakland CA and the General Manager Krystal hired me last week and informed me my schedule would from 5 days a week 4pm -10 pm and then after the first week she reduced my hours from to 5: 15pm-10pm and canceled my Thursday Jan 26.shift. Also on Jan 24 she stated that I was making her feel "uncomfortable" 3 times when I spoke up about these actions she has taken. Also the manager Krystal seems frightened about having a conversation about the Time of hire phamplet that is awaiting some signatures still. I'm planning on working there tonight but I'm afraid of what my Manager Krystal may accuse me of next. On a more food like note the chicken here is not as good as the location in Alpharetta, GA. The recipe must've gotten messed up because Gus's real fried chicken is delicious. Also the okra doesn't taste the same as I remember it used to be so good. It's probably a supply chain issue and understaffing.

Went in 30 minutes before close on a Tuesday night. They pulled out fresh chicken and prepared it from scratch. 20 PCs order Fried chicken and sides. So delicious and fresh!

I've been to Gus's more than a handful of times now and, as a southerner living out in the Bay Area, it is such a delight getting amazing fried chicken. Every single time, the chicken here is excellent. Not only that but the people who work here always are pleasant and greet you with a smile on their faces. This truly is an amazing gem in the middle of Oakland.

I always order from here! Delicious fried okra, pickles, chicken and the best iced tea! Mac and cheese is always yummy too! They never miss

The best chicken I ever ate in this amazing place also the salad very good and the fresh fries was delicious but nothing better than the chicken breast white tinder meat very very delicious yummy yummy

Went to get some food, website and sign on door said open until 830 pm. Door was locked up at 4pm. Waste of time.

We got a 20 piece chicken it was like $50 a small greens the greens are so small the container for $4 and when I opened the greens up it's mostly juice no greens for the price of these greens cost and this small small container is ridiculous the chicken is overpriced as well it tastes okay it's nothing to Rave about I will not go back again the customer service was good but for the prices that they charge for their food is overrated they don't give you quantity amount for the prices and the quality is just okay
