I am a Physician Assistant, and I am very picky about choosing good doctors. I know all too well that most psychiatrists don’t listen to what the patient is saying and have you come back every 30 days for a refill just to bill and make money. I spent a long time looking for a psychiatrist who was very intelligent and qualified, and Dr E is absolutely the best. I have bipolar depression and ADHD and recent extreme grief (10 members of my family died in last few years including my mom and sister and her baby). I also now bring my 10 year old daughter who began having insomnia, panic attacks, and problems at school. He immediately diagnosed her correctly and continues to monitor her treatment closely as she grows and changes. I refer all of my patients to him, because I don’t trust anyone else to take good care of psychiatric illnesses. (I don’t get kickbacks, I work for a non-profit FQHC). He is Harvard-trained, and has attended Universities inside and outside of the United States. And he is multilingual. As a patient, a mom of a patient, and a PCP myself, this man is to be trusted with the most sensitive and difficult specialty of medicine- mental health.

Dr. E has been my psychiatrist for almost 3 years now. I trust him in helping my anxiety and depression. So far we’ve accomplished helping my anxiety be way lower, and are almost near finding something for my depression. Very very happy with being his patient. The front desk ladies always kind, helpful, and ensure I am able to make my appointments.

What impressed me the most was the consistent display of empathy of the mental health office by paulina. She had an innate ability to understand the challenges and struggles I was facing, treating me with genuine compassion and respect. Their willingness to listen attentively, validate my emotions, and provide unwavering support created a space where I felt heard, understood, and valued as an individual.

Dr. Estakhri is a real kind human being. He listens and actually hears what I have to say and includes the family in hearing their side. I have physical challenges that are overwhelming and progressing. Not only is he knowledgeable in hearing me out but compassionate in trying to create the best treatment plan to offset my anxieties. He understands the overwhelming challenges I am currently facing. I truly felt heard, and he gave me all the time I needed to convey my message. I truly feel blessed to have him as my provider. Dr. Estakhri, PA Tamara and the office staff are so helpful and kind. They’re always able to fit me in when I forget to make a follow up appointment. I’ve been seeing Tamara recently and I’ve found her to be very personable, caring and open to discussions about medication changes or alterations. She always warns me of side effects to watch out for and makes sure I understand why I’m being given what. I really appreciate the care I’ve been given.
