Hae Jang Chon Korean BBQ Restaurant reviews
15 Echo every good thing other reviews mentioned. Meat quality is top-notch. They grill the meat for you but still allow you to enjoy the food at your own speed. I tried almost every meat they offer except chicken, and my favorite is the marinated beef rib with bone. It melted in my mouth, lol. I love it and will come back.
No line on Friday lunch.
This is the best AYCE kbbq open right now! The staff is great, the food is great, and the ambiance is great! Loved it here! Will make it a habit to return consistently!
One of, if not THE best kbbq places in LA. Friendly staff, amazing meats (pause), great atmosphere. Definitely pricy but so worth it.
AYCE, this place rules! The quality of meats are great, and the service is amazing. I’m glad my friend brought me here, one of the best kbbq experiences I’ve ever had.
Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in the area.
If you’re deciding between this place and somewhere else, come here!
The food was outright outstanding. With a hefty price of $44 it's definitely somewhere you go once in a while, but that shouldn't stop you from going. This place is out of the world. From the design of the place to the meat quality and taste. Everything is perfect. Service is great. It will definitely be a place to go if your looking for some high quality meat.
Great place to eat! Definitely try the hotdog wiener, best item on the menu! Catherine is the best! Ask for her
Tons of meat options and good banchan as well. Staff was super efficient and would circle around the tables frequently. Overall the quality of meat was good but slightly bland if you don’t order the pre-marinated items. A good deal for lunch and I would suggest coming here with a group to make the most of the all you can eat.
They do all the cooking but it doesn't mean you can't do it yourself either. Usually, if they come around the tables, they'll help assist with cutting or turning the meat. One thing I will say is our server wasn't the best. Every time we asked for something, like water or more sides, he made us feel like we were a hindrance for asking. Other than that, food was good.
I’ve only been here once. The wait wasn’t too long, about 25 minutes for two people. Everyone in your party has to be present in order to be on the list. The food was good and our waitress was very attentive.
One of the go tos for AYCE in k town. Prices have gone up, but overall quality and service is still great.
If you have 6 or more, make a reservation. They will get you on top of the list.
Can’t complain about any of the meats here, it’s all so good. The service is great and the waiters come around frequently to help you cook the food and switch out the grills.
Ambiance is great, typical busy and fun kbbq restaurant on a weekend night.
One thing that bugged me about this experience is that as we were winding down, we told the waitress we were going to think on whether we wanted more food. She then came back with the check and told us we couldn’t order anymore because she closed out our table.
7/22/23: Excellent all you can eat Korean bbq. Went for lunch at noon on a Friday and there was no wait. Lunch is $38. Waitress was so friendly and energetic despite having worked there for 12 years.
Great:
Boneless marinated Short rib, thin sliced pork belly, beef tongue, kimchi pancake, cheese corn, radish wrap, rice wrap
Good: Spicy pork belly, brisket
Ok: Steamed egg (meh), bbq squid (didn't like flavor), kimchi fried rice (too much kimchi flavor)
The food was amazing at Hae Jang Chon. The kimchi fried rice at the end was a perfect way to end the meal after eating an unlimited amount of meat. About 20 min wait on a Saturday at 11pm.
23/Feb: Great taste with premium quality meat. Good service.
23/Jul: Got 2nd chance to dine here. Ok food but WORSE service. The guy serving us seemed unhappy and in a hurry. Every time we ordered something he was not responding proactively yes or no thus made us to ask twice or third time to confirm. Not convenient experience.
Come & get your steak on!
