On weekdays at 6: 30 in the evening, you can enjoy ramen without having to wait in line as there are plenty of seats available. However, the service is quite slow, and the servers often chat among themselves, forgetting to attend to customers.

The black tonkotsu broth has an excellent flavor with a rich garlic taste, but the only downside is the small portion size. If you don't upgrade for an additional cost, you'll only get a thin slice of chashu.

However, their curry pork cutlet rice is generously portioned, with the pork cutlet fried to perfection and reasonably priced at $12. If I come again, I'd like to have the curry pork cutlet rice.

Come to eat ramen at 6: 30 on a weekday evening. There is no need to wait in line. There are many seats. However, the service speed is very slow. The waiter is often chatting happily beside him and forgets to serve.
The taste of Black tonkotsu soup is very good. The thick soup is full of garlic flavor. The only drawback is that the portion is very small. If there is no extra price to upgrade, you will only have a very thin barbecued pork.
However, their curry pork chop rice is generous in portion, the fried pork chop is crispy and juicy, and the price is affordable at $12. I would like to eat curry pork chop rice again next time.

Service was excellent. Server walked us through the menu and made suggestions. Pork broth was sublime! Gyozas were gobbled up!

It is with great disappointment that I update my review. This place has always been my go to spot for ramen. Everytime I come I leave with a smile. But not this time. Me and my gf ordered our usual, tonkatsu ramen and godfire ramen w a side of gyoza. Everything was good until my gf found a big hair sticking out of the gyoza. We understand that mistakes happen so we informed the pregnant server of the mistake. She did not apologize for the mistake and just took the dish and offered to replace it. The whole situation then turned awkward. My appetite was totally gone and the new batch of gyoza seemed untrustworthy. I really felt little was done to correct their mistake. No sorry no discount or nothing. I really left displeased and grossed out. I didn't finish my ramen which I always do. I might not be coming back. I for sure will stop promoting this as my favorite ramen.

I absolutely love this place, the broth alone is the stuff of dreams. Truly a magical experience.

Absolutely incredible. I like how thin the chasu is. It’s all broad and flattened out too. Lots of surface area and great for soaking in the broth.

Ramen is excellent for what you get. I've had the God fire, very good. The spice level is like a normal spice level for LA tongues. Otherwise the name speaks for itself for those more sensitive to heat. Then you can't go wrong with the Tonkotsu, rich and flavorful. Great location in Little Tokyo, next to a lot of bars.

I’m usually not a big fan of ramen places. Ramen is very overpriced in LA for a bowl of noodles and one piece of meat. Here, their Tonkotsu ramen is $14.50 which is on the cheaper side compared to other places it is also one of the cheapest options, where other places usually have it more than the shio or miso options. However with the basic tonkotsu ramen, they only give you one slice of cha siu and they really push you to buy their addons for more toppings.
Their ramen was very tasty. The broth had a good milkiness with a rich flavor. The toppings were very spare but the noodles were good. You can choose the noodle hardness and I chose hard noodles but it felt pretty standard. It was so good I ordered an extra serving of noodles (hard) and this batch was pretty hard

Watch out this place added a extra $10 tip that was not authorized. I left a cash tip even though the food was bad and service wasn’t great. Make sure to get a copy of your receipt.

Came on a Sunday lunch, no wait, got seated right away. We ordered Black Devil Ramen (spice level 2), Katsu Curry bowl and their special dipping ramen. Both ramen are delicious in their own way. My favorite is definitely the Black Devil Ramen which is a mixture between their Tonkotsu and God Fire ramen. Noodles cook perfectly too (I ordered normal). If you like (or can handle spicy well) definitely order spice level 3 or 4, spice level 2 was a little mild in my opinion.
If you like to try something different (and sweet) definitely try their dipping ramen.
Katsu curry bowl was okay, will try some other bowl next time.

A nice place to get some ramen in little Tokyo, famous for its spicy noodles.

The ordering system is kinda cool, since it allows you to choose the hardness of the noodles, spiciness of the soup and extra ingredients. The service is very efficient.

The ramen was tasty (we chose a manageable level 2 of spiciness) but the noodles had a kind of instant ramen quality and therefore took zero soup in. The gyozas were just ok.

The atmosphere was ok, but you kinda got the feeling they were trying to get you out as soon as possible to put others customers in (like rushed to finish your drink). Overall is a recommendable place, not expensive at all.

The first time I went here is during the covid. It wasn't a good experience as the place is not very clean and the food is mediocre. Now they have fixed everything and I found a new favorite dish here too.

This a wonderful spot really. Ordered the popular Tonkotsu ramen bowl and selected the 'light' broth version. It was hot, flavorful and satisfying. I asked for some grated ginger which complemented the dish nicely. I did not leave disappointed.

Soup hall style ramen restaurant. I had Black Devil with egg and chashu, no green onions. The broth, garlic, and spicy were incredibly rich. I had kaedama to soak up some more of the broth.

The gyoza was very good but it would be nice to have different filling options. I recommend the black devil ramen. It's full of flavor with the right amount of heat. It's definitely worth adding the everything option. I do wish it came with chicken (per the menu) instead of pork. I was looking forward to trying the fried chicken.

Fantastic ramen (and karage and gyoza) and really reasonable prices. I will definitely be checking out the location near me in Costa Mesa.
