I was looking for a new hobby, hoping to start doing glass blowing, when I found Halo pottery. I tried hand building 1st, and found I really enjoyed moulding & making bowls. The. I tried the wheel, & found it more difficult, but with Hila’s expert teaching, I soon found it started being easier. I so look forward to my sessions, & what I will create next. Hila is patient, & very knowledgeable in all things clay! Her studio is in a great location, & has everything one needs to become a potter. I love this place!

Hila is the best instructor I ever had, she’s patient, warm and cares about you other than just a student. Thank you ️

I have been doing pottery with Hila, weekly for 3 years. The studio is great and Hila is a wonderful teacher. I absolutely recommend Halo Pottery!

I was looking for a new hobby, when I found Halo Pottery. I never did anything like pottery before. I walked in and met the owner, Hila, and she was friendly and knowledgeable. The studio was neat and clean, she started teaching me how do hand build a bowl, then moved to the wheel. I was not sure about centering the clay, and she is great at teaching how to do all forms of working with clay. The pricing is less than most other studios, especially when you factor in there is no additional cost for clay, firing, tools or glazes.this is a great studio. I can't wait for the pandemic be over so I can go back.

Expensive compared to other places. You do not receive a bag of clay or tools or more time to practice for the fee. The owner/instructor is moody and cold. Asked her what clay I was using and she wouldn’t tell. I asked her the name of the glazes I was using she wouldn’t tell. There are several other places to learn for much less where the instructors are happy to educate. So even if you can afford the fee it’s NOT WORTH IT.

If you want to learn pottery from an unfriendly person, then Halo Pottery is a good fit for you. If you want someone patient, warm, and customer service oriented, look somewhere else.

My daughter and her friends are learning pottery at Halo Pottery. Hila is patient, diligent and explains the creative process on a way that the students can understand well. She is fun and lets the students take their time in getting a feel of the material and concepts.
She will take the time to sit with each student and help them work through the steps from 'throwing', trimming to glazing.
We also hosted a birthday party there and Hila was organized and the children all learned a new skill and also had fun mucking about with clay.
I would highly recommend Halo pottery to anyone whether for classes, or events.
