Hampton Inn Irvine Spectrum Lake Forest

I had a king room in the Homewood suites area which was lovely. Nice breakfast with normal options. Service was rude and cold. I'm not sure the staff could have gotten anymore snooty and uptight. I didn't get a smile from an employee until I checked out. I'm not interested in staying there ever again. I guess the Hiltons don't need anymore $$$ because they certainly turned me off their brand for good. There are too many hotels to stay in that actually seem to appreciate a customer, to waste my money there. Based off the occupancy I saw there, I'm not the only one.

We really like this hotel in Lake Forest. We've been here a few times. It's very clean. The employees are courteous. The daily breakfast is nice. It's location is central to many amenities. There are several restaurants across the street and shops just down a few blocks. Easy freeway access. We highly recommend this location.

The room was incredible and very comfortable. There was an unbelievable amount of extras that made our trip just that much better. Their breakfast lineup in the morning has so much stuff, and all of it was excellent. Omelettes, hash browns, sausage, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, there was fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea, milk, make your own waffles.it just keeps going each and every employee we came across or interacted with was very friendly and helpful if you are headed to Irvine California for any reason work or pleasure, this is the place to stay. I really don't want to go back.

Booked same day on the Hilton Honors app, before my flight to ensure I would have a room for tonight as I would have landed past midnight and the appt wouldn't let me book for night/tomorrow am after midnight. My flight is delayed by 6 hours, so I called to see if it could be cancelled and credited, neither the 800, nor the hotel manager or staff were "able" to cancel without a charger. So they keep the funds without me ever stepping foot in their property. Even for the sake of customer service (diamond member) what a poor experience with this place and chain. It's worse than dealing with AI.

Excellent place. Completely new (November 2023). Clean and reasonably priced with breakfast.

Advantages:
- It’s a new building so it’s clean.
- Serve breakfast
- Good cost-effectiveness
- Close to Spectrum Mall

disadvantage:
- Even though it is a 2-star hotel and is located on the outskirts, parking is charged $12 per day.
- Breakfast is poor
- No EV charger
- Confused because it shares the same entrance as Homewood Suite.

Rooms were clean. Service was excellent. Restaurant downstairs was convenient and excellent. Quality. Check in was easy. I overall had a great experience being from out of town due to the location. Plenty around the area. I would definitely stay here again. It was a very pleasant, relaxing and comfortable experience.

In town for a business trip, was a great stay. They moved our group quickly checked us all in minutes. Our shuttles were on time, our drinks were poured accurately and breakfast was decent. Would definitely go back if ever in the area.

I booked this hotel through a Day Stay app since I needed a place to work and relax while my dog was having surgery at a local vet. Complaints up front since that is what is keeping me from giving this place 5 stars. There is a $12 a day parking charge and a charge for the "higher" speed internet. Parking was just added to my bill. No one asked me if I parked or if was dropped off. They are not near an airport, I am a Hilton rewards member and I only was there from 10am to 3: 30pm (again, day use only). Then they wanted an additional $5 for the upgraded internet. It is 2023 and hotels are still doing this? Room was very quiet. Again, I was there when most people are gone and it was very clean and modern and nice. Just the silly upcharges took away from a great stay.

Please be sure to ask NOT to be on the second floor facing the top of the nasty roof. I kept my curtains closed all 4 days. They could at least add fake grass or paint it something. The beds are so uncomfortable and neighbors above were jumping on the floor until 3 am.

Noisy noisy place. Was on the 4th floor and the constant thumping and sounds from above my room was unbearable. I called the front desk and was told the staff would look into it. Nothing changed. I called several hours later and asked to be moved and the guy was rude. Said no other rooms were available and I should have requested the 5th floor so no one would be above me. I won't be back and thinking I should switch from HH's as my primary lodging membership to Marriott Bonvoy.

I'd say this is a 3 star hotel, the room turn around rate could be quicker as my room was not even ready at their recommended check in time. The thermostat controls are confusing and definitely had to get up and adjust it 10 times during my one night stay. The breakfeast was "Mid" the bacon was greasy, the eggs were great though best I've seen at any Hilton mid tier property. Accessing the breakfeast area was cumbersome though with the door key reader not working and apple juice dispenser partially working was unfortunate.

I was assign a room that smelled bad asked for another only to find out the room I got, my sister who checked in before me complained about the condition of that room and asked to be moved for a different room. I would like to request a refund the food was have cooked the pool and jacuzzi was on use able and my room had stain and NO heat.being a Hilton honors hotel it doesn't even compare. A motel 6 would have been more better

Great hotel, incredible staff. Nigel went above and beyond when it comes to guest hospitality. The fitness room has up to 75 lb.dumbbells which is great compared to most other hotels. My only quam is the mattresses. Much like most of the other hotels in the Hilton family of Hotels, the mattresses are on the very, very firm side.though this location's mattresses are better than some of the other's where I've stayed. Very clean and updated all the way around.

ABSOLUTELY greatest place to stay in OC. Couldn't have been more gracious & kind with a bunch of wedding go-ers who's housing got cancelled last minute.
